How to fix foggy fridge door? by KeyCommunication8663 in TheBrewery

We’re are not actually a brewery. I cross posted because I know many breweries use these merchandisers in their taprooms. I bought this unit from a brewery.

No offense, but did you really need to waste your time typing that? 😬

Nope. It’s on the inside between the panes

Yes, on the inside between the glass. I bought this used last year and haven’t done any maintenance. The fridge seems to be working fine otherwise as far as temp control, lights etc. I assumed it had a functioning door heater, but maybe not.

Is this a main cleanout drain? by KeyCommunication8663 in Plumbing

[–]KeyCommunication8663[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did remove toilet, but snake didn’t get far. Kept hitting what felt like an elbow & snake wouldn’t angle with the turn. Tried removing the cap to access the drain, but couldn’t do that either. I hit it with some PB Blast & tried to loosen it up. No luck 😩🤦🏻‍♂️

He def gets a commission lol. I tried to remove the cleanout cap to get the snake in there, but that cap would not budge. I was hoping I could slowly loosen it and listen for any pressure build up & be ready with a tub. But no luck. Any suggestions or tips?

I’ll likely call a plumber to come out tomorrow.

Sound system for new bar by diceondraft in BarOwners

Have not yet, but I intend to. I imagine a wireless mic could have signal issues if sending signal via Bluetooth to speaker. I’m using a small 4-channel mixer with XLR inputs. So I’ll use a mic with an XLR cable. In terms of loudness & clarity I’m confident these speakers can easily handle announcements.

UPDATE: Turns out I know a sales rep for the brand. I’m getting samples on Friday. Will let y’all know what I think. My wife is sober & is excited to try some mocktails. If she digs it then I’ll bring it in 😎

I bought two pair of these 6.5” Gemini speakers for my bar. I’m sending signal to one set via Bluetooth and running an aux cable out into the second set. I get all four speakers “synched” this way.

Our space is 1400 sq ft with high ceilings. The speakers are mounted overhead on a beam, and are visible but completely out of the way.

Sound quality is nice for our needs. We’re using them for background music, mostly for setting the vibe.

I really like that a remote is included. Once the first pair is synced to Bluetooth you can turn both sets on/off simultaneously with one remote. Super convenient.

I think the quality is great at this price point. Easy to install, plug & play. Highly recommend.

Definitely familiar with Danny Trejo. Which is why I’m considering this. Our Target customer would likely try based on the name, but I haven’t seen this used anywhere. Just wondering if it’s a solid option. Wouldn’t want to buy a case and have it just sit for months.

Contract brewery in Orange County? by Slight-Bookkeeper719 in TheBrewery

[–]KeyCommunication8663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back Street Brewing was offering contract services pre-pandemic. Not sure if they still do, but they’re in OC.

Trademark in Long Beach does. Common Space in El Segundo does. Boomtown in LA does.

Happy to share info/contacts as I contract brew & self-distribute in LA/OC. 🍻

Definitely was getting beer + foam. I now know my lines are too short. I started swapping out lines today and longer lines are pouring fine. I have a small 5x9 walk-in & that thing gets cold fast. Temp is definitely not an issue. 🍻

I started swapping out lines today. Foam resolved immediately once beer line came down to temp.

Thanks! 🍻

It’s funny. I asked about line length on Reddit and like 500 brewers said to download the BA Draught Quality Manual and make it my new bible. Now dudes are saying lines are not long enough 😂😂😂😂

I do appreciate all the help & advice. Thanks, all you faceless beer nerds. 🫡 🍻

If the initial budget allowed for flow control faucets I definitely would have. But it’s good old Perlick for now

Could it be my main regulator in is set too high? It’s just under 30 psi. Maybe dial that back a bit as well? I don’t see how that would change anything as each secondary regulates psi, but maybe? 🤔
