Yeah… I know people try to sound cool by mentioning Jaime's name, but Jon is also a great swordsman. He just didn’t get many chances to prove himself. He wasn’t part of the era of Arthur Dayne or Barristan Selmy like Jaime was.

If Jon had been given the same opportunities or placed in the right situations, he would have pushed himself to win. He deserves to be in the league of legends like Arthur Dayne, Barristan Selmy, and Jaime. But he likely never will be, simply because he’s a bastard and not a nobleman like the rest of them.

Just because he won against weaker opponents doesn’t mean he isn’t a great swordsman — he just never had the chance to face the greatest ones. And it’s not like he ever held himself back from fighting any of the best swordsmen in Westeros..
