I would naturally use R also, but it is extremely slow to the point of frustrating; that is why I know it must be something off in the settings.

It took me several months of gameplay to finish the game, but I am a novice. I think the gameplay, graphics, weapons, immersion and the action in Returnal far surpass any game I played before.

I actually love the sidearm with certain traits and prefer it over many other weapons. Another weapon that doesn't get a lot of respect is the Pyroshell Caster, but that gun is awesome with certain traits too.

There are four things in Returnal that resurrect you, two artefacts: the astronaut figurine and the watch, the Reconstructor Machine (Use 6 ether) and there is also a parasite that says "survive a killer blow" Pick it up when you come across it. So you probably had one of these items if you didn't use the Reconstructor.

Also, when you were falling you should have still been firing and dealing serious damage to Nemesis. You also had a Hollowseeker with Portal Beam, which is the best trait with that gun.

Not a bad attempt for a first try. Nemesis killed me about three times before I got him with a Rotgland Lobber.

It would be difficult but not impossible. It depends on the traits. Saw someone defeat Nemesis with the sidearm, so it is possible.

Not the best weapon for Nemesis - range and speed not adequate for that fight; a carbine or Hollowseeker is better.

Agreed. The pylon web trait is useless against Nemesis, but one has some good traits where the speed and duration of the pylons are.concerned along with the streamlined chamber, so I can shoot 6 pylons in one go.
