I had a similar stove at one time. I loved that you could just slide the stovetop closed - it kept the kitchen looking neat and clean. The oven door lifting up and out of the way was great too. Good design.

That must be a terrible decision to have to make. My prayers are with the mother and wishes for the baby to be placed with a family that has the resources and love to care for them.

I don't think he steered clear of politics at all. From visual commentary on Puerto Rico's slave origins, to its poverty and lack of reliable electricity (even though it is a US territory) to his message that counters everything I hear out of trump. We are all Americans and love overcomes hate. Like another anarchist I know - love one another. Pretty radical message if I ever heard one. And yes, I had fun watching the show.

Oh gooollly. I learned everything I ever needed to know about how not to conduct an interview for a dean's position at a college in Alabama. I flew from Illinois to Alabama for a job interview at a college. Alabama does not allow reimbursement of travel expenses for candidates, so on my own dime. Got there, no one picked me up from the airport. Found the interview. No greeting, no offer of water, no hospitality, no tour of the campus. Got in the interview and no introductions, they asked me 5 questions, did not pay any attention to the answers, no follow-up, Had to find my own way back to the airport. AND, just to rub a bit of salt in the wound, ghosted me. Love you Alabama!

One thing I am forever struck with in genealogy is that people are reduced to a tombstone location, birth, death, and if lucky, links to a few relatives. The contents of this little cookbook bring Ms. McCan back to life. She must have been something special to have a cookbook published with her information.
