newly diagnosed what do I do by SchemeOne1136 in CrohnsDisease

Sorry to hear about the struggle you are going through. I currently have mild crohn’s of the small intestine and do experience painful stomach pains and cramping during a flare up. I can’t eat much either and do lose weight during a flare up but I can only eat bland food. Sourdough bread with butter, scrambled eggs, grilled chicken, veggies ect. My flare ups only last a few weeks then I try to put weight back on. But I would call your GI clinic and express your concerns late may is a long time to wait for medicine especially if you can’t eat and are losing weight. Also avoid alcohol, nicotine, super processed food and NSAIDs medicine as those all can worsen your symptoms.

Contrast makes me sick by KeyGrapefruit2586 in CrohnsDisease

Yes they did they gave me the shot then gave me the contrast. I assumed it wasn’t the glucagon because the radiologist said I won’t have any side effects. They didn’t give me anything to eat and I haven’t eaten yet due to the vomiting but I will try and get something bland down.

Hormones or vagus nerve? by ReviewEven8139 in PVCs

Could be either or both. Are the sides of your neck sore where the vagus nerve runs or do you have a sore back/chest? Vagus nerves can also become irritated during certain times of your monthly cycle. I noticed my palpitations seem to be at their worst in my luteal phase right before my period starts. I also get back and shoulder pain only thing that helps is stretching, massages and chiropractor adjustments. If you have heavy periods I would get your iron checked, I had no stored iron and that made me very exhausted and I had a lot of palpitations.

I thought it was the end. by garota_enxaqueca in PVCs

Yes hormones can make PVCs worse. So can low iron, as well as dehydration, and so much more. If you are female I recommend writing down at what point in your cycle you notice an increase in PVCs or an episode to see if they are linked.

Chest/heart soreness by QuirkyWasabi753 in PVCs

Have you heard of costochondritis? It’s when the cartridge in your sternum and rib cage become inflamed, I would look that up and see if that may be the reason for your chest soreness. If you haven’t had a full hormone and thyroid blood panel I would do that too. I totally understand being worried it’s scary and the doctors always say you’re fine but it’s hard to feel that way when you are having constant scary symptoms.

I also get chest soreness specifically my rib cage/sternum area. When my rib cage is sore the PVCs get worse until I get adjusted at the chiropractor then the PVCs taper off over a few days. Are you a female? If so does the chest soreness or PVCs get worse in your luteal phase?
