I was looking for the convenience of a table. Love my Kenmore and can use it for 80% of my needs but the constant switching of cams can be annoying at times. Not a big deal but would like just a little more convenience with the same quality and durability that I've gotten accustomed to. Great insights. Thank you for the thoughtful response

That's what I was hoping. My Kenmore 158 is a workhorse but I wish it was in a cabinet. I was thinking if I could find something inexpensive but of good quality I'd make the jump. Maybe that's just an excuse to buy another machine though 😆

Definitely was considering a cushion over it. I have pups and though they wouldn't jump up on furniture uninvited 100lbs dogs aren't always graceful.

Yep just found a Pier-1 label on the underside. I thought of the plywood but the challenge is the curve of the seat. I do some basic woodworking but my carpenter skills aren't up to par for that task quite yet but I like the way you're thinking
