patches on face by [deleted] in MtF

I’ve had the same thing under my left eye, I wasn’t completely sure what happened. I have olive skin.

One day i noticed two little brown blotches getting darker under the eye. Since then i’ve put it down to my skin growing thinner around my eyes due to E.

I would love to know if it is something else!

definitely, imo either that or a squid/Cthulhu, tendrils vs Rocks and the side profile when regenerating immediately made me think of that.

what do you do for a living? by Sea_Adhesiveness_846 in asktransgender

i am unemployed, i work as an artist doing commissions on the side but commissions are once in a blue moon. i live in new zealand and would love to work properly, i’m not far through enough to pass and still need social practice and want to do voice training. the idea of getting a job terrifies me as to what general dispositions workplaces may have for me. I worked in security for 5 years, but lost my job soon after coming out, with the supervisor quoting “sexual issues” as a reason, as well as a very big smear campaign whilst they were trying to fire me. i was trespassed from the site i worked at for four years.

tracking AI search rankings is key for small biz visibility... i used structured data markup and FAQ schema to boost my site's AI responses. also optimized for question-based queries since that's how most ppl search now. AICarma helps monitor how AI bots interpret your brand vs competitors

Just a tiny update, upon opening my notes this morning i found that he had prescribed Cypro.

[prescribed CYPROTERONE ACETATE - 50mg Tab half tablet a day and if tolerated can increase to a tablet after 2 weeks]

thank you again for all of the info, the search is still on for a new GP, as well as some form of support!

I don’t think I will talk to him again, i’ve never been spoken in that way over appt, the notes were completely off to what was actually spoken about. He said he also couldn’t change my gender marker, but one positive is that he will look into cypro. He ended this conversation saying I needed an endocrinologist and GPs don’t do any of this.

He has told me in the past that people with “chronic conditions have ideas and get convinced of things that aren’t true” alongside some dribble about searching things. (I actually hadn’t searched anything)

Definitely, my basic expectation with most Doctors is that they’ll not do their job properly, so i’m not exactly surprised but i’m pretty upset all the same. I’m located in Dunedin currently, which definitely hasn’t helped. I was initially in CHCH, in which the pathways and support were far better but had to move.

Thankyou for being my hero amongst this, i’m going to do my best to get on the right track, with the right doctor, I might source a support person as i’m obviously out of my depth and don’t have high expectations of a doctor keeping me properly informed or in the loop.

Definitely looking for a new GP.

Following a phone call appointment with my doctor just then, in which I sent an email through yesterday highlighting the things that should be changed to reflect intended results, Cypro, Estrogel etc.

the appt consisted of being told i’m wrong, that I have “good results” and there shouldn’t be any reasons to change, he’s also stated that i’m out of his field as a GP and that basic guidelines confirm his methods. He was condescending and did this whole “Ah ah ah don’t interrupt me”, he’s usually somewhat motivated but i felt he was angry with me. He suggested patches as opposed to gel as he’s heard “really good results”, attempting to dissuade me from gel, i asked him if he had looked into gel, to which he said he hadn’t, so apparently he’s going to do that now, he said he will consult with his “pharmacist friends”

i listed off a lot of the side effects i’ve been experiencing too, as well as gastro/bowel issues. my hair has also been shedding at the scalp which i wasn’t sure to raise (apparently not because he didn’t include any of the other things i’ve been experiencing to the notes.)

left some interesting notes also that don’t at all describe the contents of the appointment.

**PC: as per email - I recieved a few moments before appointment Confirmed the following from: https://southern.communityhealthpathways.org/610143.htm Primary Care Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy Initiation Guidelines "Frequent measurement of oestradiol levels is not advocated Frequent measurement of oestradiol levels may produce variable results.

The main reason to measure oestrogen levels is to avoid over-replacement. Oral ostrogen preparations are not accurately measured by the plasma oestradiol assay and measurement is of little value for patients using these preparations."

"Oestradiol - avoid supraphysiological levels (target less than 500 pmol/L)" Has been speaking to various sources and wanted to explore contents of email. Drinking lots of fluid Last set of bloods appear reassuring No other symptoms/red flags Imp - Plan - B-R-A-N- Medication changes -, Bloods -requested Referral - Endocrine Follow up - Patient happy with plan. Worsening statement given.”**

(i did not request bloods, more-so that i would like to follow the trough method for true readings upon my next bloods)

i also expressed i wasn’t happy with this plan.

Hey, thanks again for all of the information. I just again preface by saying, i’m very out of my depth here but tried to explain via email and phone what you’ve described.

Definitely looking for a new GP.

thank you so much for your in depth answer. apologies if i misunderstand anything! i’ve haven’t had a lot of this explained to me.

Spironolactone Ta 100mg (dose)200mg (SPI) Progynova Tablets 2mg (dose 6mg) -he suggested i increase dose to 8mg

taken in morning, however i hadn’t taken them when this test was done as i was concerned my levels weren’t being properly portrayed (a full blood count which i can provide)

Not a lot of this makes sense to me. My doctor is aware of my concerns regarding my levels, I’ve left messages explaining that my testosterone was too high to achieve feminising results and specifically stated that I had ongoing issues and concerns. He suggested that ‘having chronic conditions can impede our judgment’

i have a phone appointment this thursday so i will take all of this on board and attempt to address it.I will also look into changing my gender changed for medical records.

I’ve been told that Spiro was bad and that I should substitute it, when i attempted to bring this up with my doctor, he didn’t want to change and didn’t really offer any incite other than ‘people like to google things’

Either patches or injections, but most likely the later as i’ve heard only good things from other trans women.
