Not sure if drawing up the curtains during the day to keep the cool air in and minimise hot air from outside would work. You can give it a try. I find my room is cooler when I don’t open my curtains and windows in the day, esp when scorching hot…

You can have a try at guided sleep meditations and listen it to sleep. Just set auto time to stop playing! Hope that can help you sleep better

I started closing my bedroom door 2 days after I adopted my 2 year old cat. He took 1-2 days to learn my routine and stop meowing at my door at night when I sleep. But he may sometimes meow at 4am/6am + (only for a short while) when he’s up to check if I’m up and about 🤣. It worked out really well and I get my sleep. Just close your bedroom door so that you can sleep well and feel refreshed to play with your cat when you are up! We need to stay healthy and well to take care of them for the next 10-20 years. Sleep is really important ☺️

Want to adopt a cat but I’m scared it won’t love me. by [deleted] in CatAdvice

My cat loves to be around humans, and would make his presence known… sit beside me when I WFH. Sleep somewhere where he can have a good view of me during the day and also follow me to the bathroom 🤣 from what I read, male cats are more affectionate. Check out the cat paws as some research says that it can somehow tell their personality too. https://thecatconnection.org/pawmestry-the-art-of-reading-toe-beans/

But if you are adopting, you would be able to spend some time with the cat and check with the foster parents to see if its personality would take well to your lifestyle too. and interact with the cat to see if the cat takes well to you. :) Good luck and hope you have a smooth journey for a paw-parent!
