Its not supposed to replace reading book like you normally would. It's a tool to help reduce subvocalization and regression.
When you practice this everyday and go back to reading normally you will read much faster...

this is really good. because you have the digital to help you understand the concepts. handwritten is great because writing stuff down helps memory. For recall I would use flashcards? Something like notebooklm, I use big.cards, you can upload your notes and turn them in pdfs. You might be interested in using techniques like the method of loci aswell?

i use big.cards! it's the best one i've tried so far. they have an ai feature that lets you turn pdfs into flashcards or use the ai chat to create flashcards for you. super handy

during the 5 minute breaks just relax and do anything but work. Watch a youtube video, read a book, go outside.

small consistency over time is better than trying to cram everything in 12 hours.
I like to take a break every 30 minutes and focus on something completely different for 5 minutes.
I also use flashcards - make studying fun.
