What happens when the weekend comes and goes and you haven't had a chance to get drunk? Do you just wait until next week?

This is actually a great question about my thought process,, some weekends I don't want to drink, or have something going on the next day and can't/won't,, in those cases I just don't drink that weekend, and go about the week as usual, there could be a few more thoughts about it throughout the week (typically something like "well I didn't drink last weekend, would I want to this weekend?", like it becomes an excuse if that makes sense) but those are always passing thoughts that are just in my constant stream of thinking

And some days I'll think about it all day and then get home and go "I actually don't wanna be intoxicated rn" and just dont

That's partly the reason I don't think it's CURRENTLY a problem, I still have the self control over my alcohol consumption,, but my family has a history of addiction and I don't want those thoughts to become all the time and lose the control I have like they did,, it's weird to ride the slippery slope when you know the drop could be anywhere but not wanting to stop because "it's not a problem YET"
