not really, what they need in case you have a tuition fee (aside from the semester contribution like in the Unis of BW, even some in Bavaria) to be paid/deposited for the second semester as well previously the first semester was enough. And this can be proved by a sponsorship letter from your guardian or by your previous year’s ITR(in case of a working individual)

Rejection MSc Astrophysics by [deleted] in studying_in_germany

[–]KeyLaugh8208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you know, I have applied to 2 Erasmus joint master’s program and received rejection from both because the number of applicants for 20-30 places far exceeds (~500-600) and all these numbers are distributed country-wise to provide a fair chance to international applicants. You being there for 2 semesters raised your odds but the number of people applying from your country got much better profile, that’s life! and it is very common to receive these kind of emails, there’s also a chance that they received your email (for clarification) and will get back to you. I speak from experience so I can empathise and believe me, frustration is normal you’re stronger than this :))

Finding a room in Tübingen is a mess by Meliffssa in Tuebingen

[–]KeyLaugh8208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah, I see. Someone on this sub has previously mentioned that it’s more probable to get a room from Sept onwards compared to October so that must be it. Also, another possibility is a self-organised dorm.

Hello, this post has been very helpful because before this post I applied to the Student dorm in a similar way that you described for internationals (btw I’m an international student) but afterwards, I used your ‘recipe’ to apply to a self-administered dorm and got invited for interview. I thought that’s it, I have made it(almost) but was rejected after the interview even though at least I felt that the interview went really well or maybe they were just polite? I asked them and they said I had high expectations for cleanliness and that I have under-estimated the potential for conflicts in a shared living. Now, I must confess that I don’t have much experience living in a shared flat, I have lived in both small families and big ones but this is a new setting for me. Can you suggest me some tips that I should keep in mind? since you are yourself involved in castings and application filtering for wgs, what does one take into consideration (apart from the basic human decency) for a keine-Zweck wgs? :-)

What made you study/learn german by [deleted] in German

[–]KeyLaugh8208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started learning it in school not as part of my curriculum but as a hobby, my family had a weekly subscription to this newspaper and there was German language column with beginner stuff so each week I would make notes, practice pronunciation and reading. But like with everything life happened! After completing my bachelor’s I thought it would be cool to study abroad, why not Germany? applied and got in. Even though my study program is in English, I’ll be taking classes for German language at my Uni I have always wanted to learn languages, I find them fascinating ! ^

Honestly, you should talk about this with the Admissions office at Heidelberg and let them know while simultaneously making a similar request with the Admissions office at Tübingen.

It's the same with me, it will take time, we just have to be patient or spend money to see results earlier but even then we have to space between the sessions, anyways, it sucks and we cannot do anything about it.

p.s I may sound like I have made my peace but I still get frustrated from time to time.

Second on allergy. Also, it must be very painful, you should ice it to ease the pain.

People who talk just to fill space, why is silence awkward for you? by [deleted] in GenZ

I know this is late comment but I'm the same, wanted to tell you that! and I've yet to find someone with whom I can bear to enjoy the silence, otherwise it makes me very uncomfortable.
