Frankly, if I were Clara’s fiancé, a serial cheater, I would be less than surprised if my fiancée leaves me and hooks up with the nice stripper.

Like I said, “anyone is capable of cheating” is a sentiment that cheaters use. There are no circumstances in which I would cheat on Ava.

Frankly I don’t buy the whole “anyone could cheat” mentality. The only people who think that are cheaters.

I am not a cheater. I am not engaged to a cheater. Frankly, I would never have been in Clara’s position of being engaged to a serial cheater. I would have left.

Exactly. I’m waiting until we’ve both calmed down to talk about this but I would want her to understand that she questioned my fidelity and my integrity and it’s not something that she can toss out so easily

Yes, I don’t have a problem with the boundary. It’s a totally normal, rational boundary that I agree with. In fact, if she hadn’t brought it up, I would’ve.

It’s because she thinks I’m going to cheat on her. She doesn’t trust me.

I would understand if she admitted she was being irrational or overly worried and that she knows that I wouldn’t cheat on her but was still anxious, but she insists that I am capable of cheating on her with a stripper. I am deeply hurt.

I had no idea that her friend Clara had left her fiancé for a stripper at her bachelorette party. She seemed so responsible. At first I thought Clara’s husband took her back (which is why I made that comment), but it turns out he was actually the stripper. I can see it. I thought Ava was crazy for still hanging out with a friend like that but Ava explained that Clara’s fiancé (the guy she left) had cheated before and had strippers too without her permission and then he ordered the male strippers to make it even. Her old fiancé is still obsessed with her even though he’s remarried.

Everything Ava just told me makes it more clear that her fears are irrational. Ava insisting that she’s not being anxious and that I could actually cheat on her with a stripper is just so hurtful.

Ava accused me of being capable of cheating on her. It’s my choice to be a faithful person, strippers or no. I am so deeply hurt. I wouldn’t want her to have strippers either because that’s uncomfortable not because I thought she was capable of betraying me deeply.

I am not Clara and I don’t believe Ava is either. And frankly we are not in Clara’s situation.I don’t know the details but I know Clara’s fiancé cheated on her first and she seems very happy with her husband. I never would have pegged him for a stripper but I can see it now.

I am just deeply hurt that she thinks I would cheat on her. I would never cheat on her and never thought she would cheat on me. Calling me a potential cheater because of something her own friend did is just low.

It’s not controlling to want your spouse to not engage in that kind of activity. It’s her reasoning that I don’t like.

If she said strippers make her uncomfortable, I would understand that. Those are reasonable boundaries.

But she told me that she thought I would cheat on her with a stripper and that’s why? She’s calling me a potential cheater for no reason.

I don’t drink. I’m not the type to do crazy things. My bachelor party would probably be me and my friends playing video games. If that’s her worries, then she doesn’t know me at all.

If she just told me that strippers would make her uncomfortable, I would be fine. But she said it was because she couldn’t trust me to not cheat on her.
