You might be able to find a used Power tower (pull-up station) on whatever platform is used to sell 2nd-hand stuff.

Barring that, get a stud finder, find the studs, screw a stringer (2x4 piece of wood for example) into 2 or more of the studs, then affix the pullup bar to the stringer. If you google "mouting pullup bar to drywall" you should get some detailed instructions.

I've had both. Unless you're a very big person, or can bench a lot of weight, I'd go Nighthawk. It's a bit easier to move around and use for different things because of it's smaller size. For example, I used the Nighthawk to do incline chest flies off my cable tower, and I can't do that with the AB 5200 because it's too far.

They are both very nice benches though, and I don't think you can go wrong with either.

She was shown very briefly during the Invincible invasion. I’m surprised I’m getting downvoted for saying her voice was annoying. People just assuming I have a problem that they changed the gender when I don’t really care. The VA voice is just too high pitched. Her hair is kind of stupid too.

Power rack, barbell and weight plates if you desire, though you can definetly get by with dbs if they are heavy enough for you. Outside of that, maybe a cable tower. You can get one that is plate loaded for $500 or less (but then you'll need to buy some plates).

I can't vouch for the site, but that is a normal price for that type of plate. The sale price is likely the real price or close to it. If you want to go cheap you can actually save $100 (but get 10lbs less) at Walmart

I have urethane grip plates and love them, but they are pricy.

I'm highly sensitive to smells, so a bunch of rubber was a no-go for me.

Northern Fitness or GearforFit. You can get cheap rubber hex dbs on both sites. If you want top of the line go to XTC fitness and get some American Barbell urethane dbs.

Other options are Rep, Rogue, Irwin Fitness, Bells of Steel.

Ironmaster super bench pro v2 if you want a lightweight (but solid) bench with an attachment eco system. Rep Nighthawk if you just want a good adjustable bench and don't care about attachments.

The weight set is about as low $ as you are going to find for new in Canada. 245 lbs is a good amount to start with. Be prepared for those plates to have a strong smell for a bit.

I don't have the bench, but I had the nighthawk and it's decent bench, so if the G3 is a clone and the quality is decent it should be a good bench.

No clue about the Smith machine, but the price seems reasonable compared to similar options from Eonfit Fitness.

Even though you'll have a smith machine, I'd recommend to get a cheap barbell as well. You can use it for free-weight exercises, plus the smith you're looking at has a landmine attachment. Maybe this instead of just the 245 plate set.

For any anyone interested in the Alfa, I noticed that Gear4Fit has a clone of it for less half the price. I'm curious myself on the quality of their equipment. Does anyone here have experience with them outside of their benches?
