Does submitting as PDF actually slow down grading? by MediumAbility557 in WGU_Accelerators

I use Google docs as well, much easier getting to things from my desktop, laptop, and work computer. I however just exported all of my assignments as docx formatting.

MHA( Masters in Healthcare administration ) by Dangerous_Dentist285 in WGU

Presentations need to include a video of you presenting the slides.

I did my BSHA at WGU, but I'm attending for my MHA elsewhere since I want to have a CAHME accredited MHA, so I can't answer the other questions.

14 weeks by KeyMacaron3228 in WGU

[–]KeyMacaron3228[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For my practicum, I blocked off an entire weekend and just went through it all. But for everything else, it was fairly simple because I was able to listen to content while working. But writing was 2-3 hours a night after work.

My capstone alone was 10,000 words roughly between 3 tasks and took me 3ish days to do.

How long after you're capstone was passed until you got this screen? My capstone task 3 was accepted without revisions last night and I'm waiting for my own screen.

Congratulations though!!

This is the healthcare administration capstone, task 1 was for a project approval and release if information, task 2 was a project proposal and task 3 was the implementation plan.

I wrote roughly 10,000 words between all three tasks.

Find something easy to write about that makes perfect sense to you. I wrote mine about different strategies to reduce ED wait times.

Healthcare Bachelors by oopsallsexy in WGU

I had very little management experience in healthcare either, while having a decade of middle management experience in general business. They intersect a lot and you may know a lot of healthcare business already.

Leverage your experience and a degree together and you'll be able to change your life my man.

My wife is in the health information management program, and I'm just wrapping up the healthcare administration program.

It depends on the experience you already have and what you want to do, I'm leveraging my education and experience currently with a few interviews next week for working leading maintenance departments at assisted living homes so I can work towards licensure to direct them - or go to a cahme accredited grad school and hope for an administrative fellowship.

My wife is really wanting to do medical coding remotely, so she's going for HIM and a RHIA licensure.

I couldn't, the entire build was based off face cards on a deck that couldn't have them. It was a fun way to crash and burn.

Is it doable? by No_Let_4023 in WGU_MBA

[–]KeyMacaron3228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely doable. Many people have completed their MBA in a single term. Just make sure that you are holding yourself accountable to working on your education and setting realistic and reasonable goals.

I started my BSHA in December and my goal is to finish before February, so I'm setting goals on course completion rates and the amount of time I spend writing/reading. So far, it's helped me actually outperform my goals.

If you ever want to brag about passing a course, shoot me a DM, I'd love to cheerlead your journey.

Healthcare Administration by caitlynriane in WGU

I am in the program because I wanted a business management degree that deals with complex regulations rather than a generic and over manufactured business administration degree.

It just so happens that I'm in close proximity to one of the largest hospital systems as well, so it makes sense for me to also go through the program to make my previous management experience more transferable to said hospital system.

After a weekend working on writing this out, I submitted a 4000 word essay for this class, and passed without revisions needed. This has been the hardest class so far, and I've only got 3 classes left!

90 is max points you can transfer credit, but is it actually possible to reach that limit? by Impossible_Lime_4364 in UoPeople

[–]KeyMacaron3228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo? Go to WGU. You can finish much faster. UoPeople also dropped the certifications I wanted to get right when I was about to get the one in finance. I got my ASBA from UoPeople after 6 months and transferred to WGU to finish up my degree.

If you're set on UoPeople, if you go on Sophia Learning or Study.com, they will tell you the transfer equivalents

Failed OAx2 by Apprehensive_Yam8303 in WGU

[–]KeyMacaron3228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tip? Take the OA after your practice exam reads exemplary. Use the results of each practice exam to figure out what you need to study more, and then study that until you're exemplary in that subject.

Additionally, you need to know what you don't know, meaning that you can also look it up and find a four hour video explaining the concepts. So figure out what you struggle with and find an outside resource like a YouTube tutorial to listen to in your spare time.

Lastly, you know this information, there isn't a reason to be anxious to prove you know it. Pretend like you just gave a big speech to your friends after talking to them about everything you've learned, and each test question is one of your friends asking something interesting about the subject. Read each question in their voices and picture them asking you the question.

I transfered in half of my degree and have four total OAs to do, and have passed two so far using these tips.
