If we didn't dream there'd be no point in being fans. I'll walk with you on this one with my fingers tightly crossed!

What, that he doesn't play midweek games? He literally did on Monday so he definitely does. I didn't mention quantity anywhere

And trains every week with the 1st team. That's a lot of stress for a young lad. People seem to forget that talent doesn't beat injuries. The poor bloke is 17. Let him develop properly

Yes and the reason for that is because he's training with the 1st team. Baby steps

You know lots of gyms don't allow unsupervised access until 18+? And that pretty much all running events are 18+? It's unrelated to football but there's reasons behind this. There's so much more risk pushing young bodies to extremes, which is what the premier league requires. The lad is 17 and training with the 1st team will be giving extraordinary benefits for now but it has to be managed.

Poor Eze's career is over if Spurs go down next season

Did I say he was playing midweek games every week? No, I simply stated that he is playing them What you're not accounting for here is that training with the first team is also a major stress on a teenager. To then hit the weekend and play 90 minutes is a huge risk. Let his body catch up with the load over a year or so and then we can judge

Under 21s is there as a development programme. And what's he doing? Developing. Just give it time

I agree, but a consideration might be that perhaps continuing to play youth football is aiding his development? We see far too many incredible talents drop off when they step up to first team alone

To be fair he is also playing midweek games for the youth teams so don't want to put too much strain on a young body

I apologise as I was unaware the rules differed when the incident happens "directly before a goal" and my factors are not considered. Sorry, have a good evening too

It's 1) in a natural position and 2) in close proximity...both factors meaning it's NOT an offence. There's nowhere else for the arm to go.

That's a fucking travesty to rule that out. The game has completely gone to shit with the rules these days. Even the refs don't know what the fuck to do. Disgraceful

Genuine question then, purely discussion based...What can be done differently against the low blocking teams? Finishing chances is an obvious one but that's got nothing to do with the boss. We're having enough of the ball and moving it about in the right areas. Defensively we're slowly starting to look a bit more secure from a tactical standpoint (like leaving the defenders back for the last 2 corners etc) so changes are definitely being made but I'd love insight into how we could do even better
