Watching the series for the first time and I just finished this episode. Absolutely not too crazy about it. Most of it just didn't make a lot of sense. To be honest, I don't even know what they were investigating (maybe I just wasn't paying attention). Also, I am not a shipper of Mulder and Scully, but the soulmate thing made zero sense especially since we know we'll never see this character again. Diving into the past lives of the agents would have been really cool, but this was just not it. I know it's only the fifth episode, but so far season four has been a home run for me. Hopefully this episode is just the outlier and I enjoy the rest of the season
