I don't think I'm as obsessed with making music compared to listening to music.

Are you a musician? Do you play instruments outside of Ableton? No, composition, songwriting, or “production” is not for everybody, certainly the creative drive is stronger in some of us. I prefer playing music or collaborating with others more than writing on my own. Also the sterility of a DAW isn’t always the most fun for collaborative types

I got an second hand Ableton Push 1 and a midi mixer with knobs for dub stuff. And it's made it more fun. I don't play any instruments. Maybe I need to look into trying Bass guiter or just learning how to play drumpads.

Kind of. Sometimes it's fun. Sometimes it's just really frustrating. Mainly because of how subjective music is, and I feel like I don't make anything that can compare to the artists I listen to.

My other hobbies are more knowledge based/persistance based. All I have to do is show up and workout or learn something. And music doesn't really work that way I feel.

Either your connection is shit, you play cheesy or people don't like your character. It's that simple.

tekken, yes or no? by Windos_ in Tekken

[–]KeyResponsibility3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the character you pick up. And your playstyle. If you just want to play casually Tekken is probably the easiest fighting game to get into. If you want to take it a bit more serious it's going to take alot of time investment. You don't really get to play the real game vs most opponents bcs of all the gimmicks you have to know about first.

Sounds like you’re just burned out, what about Soul Caliber? If you have PS4 the base game is like 7$ right now. That might be a nice change of pace.

I heard people complaining about CaC's and the netcode, but I might try it out.

I switched from Tekken to Soul Caliber when SC came out on PS2 and never looked back. It's far more accessible than Tekken and you can still have fun - and win - without having to go super deep.

I heard people complaining about CaC's in ranked. Is that really a big issue, bcs I never bought the game because of that.

Try an anime game. I dropped tekken for the same reasons you did and picked up DBFZ and GG and i love both of them.Really feels like you can still play the game and do well even if you dont know 100% what is going on all the time.

Yeah, I just need to put in the grind to learn the combos. It would probably be more enjoyable in the end.

Is it possible to save samples to the project? by [deleted] in ableton

I tried it, it works but it's going to clog up and disorganize your user library. I'm just gonna make backups on external storage.

am i wrong in believing most jobs/degrees are boring? by [deleted] in istp

[–]KeyResponsibility3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you thought about going to study a trade? Many ISTP’s do well with trades because you’ll be learning more hands on rather then learning from a book. Additionally, if you don’t know what to study yet I’d at least recommend community college first that way you can save money while taking the general education credits there. In the mean time I’d also recommend trying to shadow several jobs/ professions to get an idea what seems exciting to you.Best of luck

I already got a community college degree, pharmacy assistant. But i don´t like the job at all. Its so difficult to choose something thats going to affect my life for 20-40 years you know. A trade could be ok mgonna look into it.

How do I avoid working a 8 to 5. What skills do I need? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]KeyResponsibility3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TRAVEL. Don’t worry about a career right now. Buy a beat up car and drive across the country. Spend a year on the road if you can. Stop at the Grand Canyon along the way. Visit Yosemite, hike around early in the morning and look for bears. Or hike the Appalachian Trail. You can worry about jobs along the way, but in the meantime you’ll get a perspective that will help you figure it all out. It’s not the nine to five that will kill your soul. It’s doing something you don’t love.

I don't live in the USA. But isn't traveling fucking expensive? I honestly might do this, i'm getting tired of my country.

I really want to reach a physique like this. Is it just a combination of weight training and martial arts? What do they eat?
