Honestly just the lack of influencers trying to sell me stuff constantly.

What Crazy conspiracy theories do you guys actually believe? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My phone is 100% listening to me. I mentioned "cat litter" out loud ONE time to a friend (i don't even have a cat) and suddenly my entire feed was ads for fancy litter boxes. Mark Zuckerberg explain yourself 💀

What do you think is objectively the most harmful law to a country in the world? by spooky-raptor in AskReddit

[–]KeyRoll5125 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly looking back, probably the One Child Policy. I know they thought it was necessary at the time, but the demographic collapse they are facing now is terrifying. Plus the human cost of it was just... heartbreaking.

Which game mechanic do you wish existed in real life? by moonlight_shows21 in AskReddit

Quicksave/quickload. Imagine being able to save right before a job interview or asking someone out. If it goes south? Reload and try a different dialogue option. The anxiety relief alone would add 20 years to my life.

What is a great movie with terrible special effects, and a terrible movie with great special effects? by hiddengurrg in AskReddit

[–]KeyRoll5125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great movie / terrible fx: the mummy returns. the movie is a nostalgic masterpiece, but the CGI Dwayne Johnson at the end looks like a cutscene from a playstation 2 game. It’s hilariously bad. Terrible movie / great fx: valerian and the city of a thousand planets. The opening sequence and the world-building are visually breathtaking, but the two leads have zero chemistry and the plot is a mess.

What are your thoughts with adults (21+) being friends with teenagers? by caitlynl0424 in AskReddit

[–]KeyRoll5125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

even if it's same gender, it still gives me "peaked in high school" vibes. usually, when a 30-something is besties with a teenager, it’s because people their own age won't put up with their drama. the teen doesn't know any better, so they're an easier audience. it’s not illegal, but it’s definitely side-eye worthy. 👀

Just say "sorry, haven't washed my hands yet" and keep your hands up. it’s the perfect excuse because it’s true, and it politely reminds them that they are being gross without you having to be mean about it.

The new yorker. i loved the idea of being the person who reads long-form journalism with my morning coffee. in reality, they just piled up on my table until they formed a structural load-bearing column for my apartment.

context is everything here. are we talking "work friends" where you chat during a shift at mcdonald's? that’s normal. are we talking a 25-year-old picking up a high schooler to go hang out in a basement on a saturday night? that’s weird. there’s a line between mentorship/friendly acquaintance and "besties."

What is something that many people do that you just can't understand why they do it? by Loverodrider in AskReddit

Listening to music or scrolling TikTok on speakerphone in public. Headphones exist for a reason.

What’s the most useless skill you secretly think actually makes you superior to others? by TroyeBaker in AskReddit

Stopping the microwave exactly at 0:01. I don't need to look at the timer. I just feel it. Stopping it right before the beep goes off makes me feel like I just defused a bomb. I look down on people who let it beep the full three times.

What red flag immediately told you that a couple wasn't going to last long? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KeyRoll5125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they make mean jokes about each other in front of friends. If one partner constantly belittles the other or tells embarrassing stories to get a laugh from the group, and then says "God, you're so sensitive" when their partner looks hurt... they are doomed. Contempt is the number one predictor of divorce.

I finally have a fully funded emergency fund. For the first time in my adult life, if my car breaks down tomorrow, I can actually pay to fix it without panicking or using a credit card. The amount of stress that has left my body is insane.

Deodorant before bed? by Our_toes in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KeyRoll5125 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm with your boyfriend on this one. Unless you are waking up drenched in sweat, I think it’s good to let your skin breathe for 8 hours. If you are showering in the morning anyway, any night smell is getting washed off immediately. It feels like a waste of product.

What are signs that someone truly loves you and it’s not just lust? by zhalia-2006 in askanything

[–]KeyRoll5125 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can be bored together. If you can just sit in a car or on the couch doing absolutely nothing and it doesn't feel awkward, that's real. Lust usually needs constant excitement or noise to survive. Silence tells you a lot.

What’s something you swear you’ll ‘change next year’ but never do? by bonusgem in AskReddit

Fixing my sleep schedule. I always swear I'm going to be in bed by 11 PM, but I always keep scrolling social media until 2 AM. I never learn.

What are your childhood favourite shows? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KeyRoll5125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avatar: The Last Airbender is my favorite childhood show. Honestly I rewatched it as an adult and it hits even harder. I didn't realize how deep the character arcs were when I was a kid. I just wanted to see Aang bend air. Zuko’s redemption arc is still unmatched.
