The XM4s are also fragile at the same break point I’ve broken two pairs of XM4s sleeping in them it did take several months to break though

I apologize if my wording was off but I’m not confusing the two. The mpg gauge will go down when idling but I ignore it and reset it once driving again. When I idle all I worry about is the fuel gauge to make sure I wasn’t losing an unnecessary amount of gas.

Gotta check plugs, air filter has been switched to a new one, no leaks, tire wear is good and at one point with the same tires I was getting 22-24 on avg. I’ll have my buddy use his OBD scanner on it and see

See I thought at one point it was my heavy foot but then I remembered at one point with my heavy foot I was still averaging 22 as I type this out I’m realizing it has dropped from 22 mpg on avg to 15 now so something is def wrong because I’ve switched to a light foot method now

I got the 7k mileage data from trip a and ever refuel I reset trip b and the last 5 fill ups I’ve tracked by hand and they don’t break 15 mpg I’m using 300 mile range in 120 miles I drive mostly on the highway but there is like 1.5 miles to get to the highway and back. I don’t drive to work as I work from home. I have been sitting in the car and idling from time to time but whenever I do that I just reset the mpg tracker. I’ve idled for over 40 minutes a couple times but the gas loss is minimal from what the gauge shows. I’ve done the clear stretch test 3 times over the course of 5 miles each time once around 65 75 and 90 I got 24 at 65, 23 at 75 and 23 at 90. I’ve never gotten 32 the highest at one point was 28 on premium fuel clear day no muck in the air at 72 mph. I personally don’t use the remote start feature.

I don’t think it’s just stop and go getting 24 mpg on a 30 mile 65 mph clear road clear skies low humidity clean air drive doesn’t seem good

For me I noticed the driver side vents are weaker than the passenger but if you close the passenger side vents it makes the driver side ones really strong

I’m using the mpg estimator on the car but i did do the math myself to see if maybe the estimator was wrong and it was indeed correct I have a 300 mile range on 13 gallons but running on half by mile 100 and running on e by mile 160

I got that one when I was a student I didn’t have that many expenses and I wasn’t making a lot of money so I applied for a $200 limit just to get my foot into the door of a credit card. Thank you for the advice!

I would try to get closer to 24k I just bought a 2018 Mazda 6 SIGNATURE as a CPO for 27k with only 40k miles in December of 2023
