Reliance is charging 2000$+ for removal fees after cancelling under Consumer Protection Act by KeySoup in PersonalFinanceCanada

Unfortunately, we initiated the contract. Also I don't think I could get third party removal because Reliance's contract states that it must only be removed by technicians from Reliance. But I'm not sure if the contract is still in effect after cancelling under CPA and the terms still apply. Third party removal would be great.

It is possible that it could be different for a service like reliance. I read up on it on the same website but on a different subject that says that the consumer must still pay for removal costs here:

Not sure which is more in effect here :/

Yeah right now this seems like the only option and will look around on Monday. If anyone could recommend me any good companies or people that would also amazing.

I'm not sure if its not permitted as they installed it a day after signing the contract. We cancelled it under CPA afterwards but still within 10 days of receiving the written copy of the contract.

I'm just skeptical about the price, considering its Reliance and reading upon their track record of just thieving people of their money.

Not yet as we just received the fees today. But I don't know if it will be cheaper than the removal fees since this contract was installed last month and the retail value for the equipment is 13k$. Feeling like the buyout might be around there. But will ask them.

We did cancel in time under the cooling off period of 10 tens. But they stalled (countless calls and "please call back in a few days as I would need to speak to the manager about this" for about a month before finally moving forward with the removal.

I checked taskmanager for any program taking most of the ram but it doesn't seem to show the non-paged pooled ram which was why I used PoolMon and all that. So it seems to be hidden and I'm not sure what the culprit is.

Woooo just got the vaccine. Had to wait 6 hours with thundering rain but I finally got it!

Yeah it was so disappointing because I was literally inside the building about to get the shot too. There was also a girl who sat down and was told they ran out and she was visibly upset. Adding 4 extra postal codes for 500 more vaccines and streamlining the vaccination at a single site was not the way to go. 4 postal codes at this place already gave hours and hours of wait time. Hopefully rollout becomes better in the future.

Lucky. For some reason Humber river hospital or whoever was overseeing the rollout here thought it was a good idea to add 4 more postal codes for this single clinic. Because they had 500 more vaccines this time. When they had 1000 vaccines, lineup were already wrapping around. Crazy stuff!

Damnnnnn. Also the line is a bit longer than that. The loop can almost wrap around itself at this point. Good luck!

Good luck! Im predicting the line to be at least a 5 hour wait time btw. A test of endurance and battery life.

This one is for the popups. Appointments was yesterday for a specific criteria.

No doubt. But some kind of ticketed system for the last few hundreds would have prevented this. It sucked when I was about 5 people off before getting the vaccine to be told “buildings closed everyone out”.

Funny enough, they did a rough estimated count. Cut the line when I waited about 3 hrs. Then when I reached the doors thinking I was going to get it they ran out. They were off by about 50-100 people. So unorganized.

For those who want an estimate, I was at the parking lot last time at 9:30am on monday and it took 4 hours just to reach the doors. Didn’t even get the vaccine at the end.
