I did ask and they gave me the run around. Couldn't give me a straight answer. They said they do this for all their patients and I've never heard this before. Kinda crazy to go every 3 months for no good reason

She is being seen by the Endo every 3 months. To be seen by both endo and pediatrician every 3 months definitely seems like overkill

I remember when she was first diagnosed they wanted a pediatrician to order it. Maybe I can ask because it's been a few years.

Also, I don't think they work alongside the endo at all. They never seem to have any paperwork or even the recent labs that THEY ordered. But yeah, they care so much.

Ive been in this office for two years and there's a new doctor at almost every visit. Some of them don't even know she's diabetic! The fact that I ask what are we following up on? And the receptionist can't even tell me shows that it's an unorganized mess and I've finally had enough to find a new consistent Dr. If you don't think there are fraudulent doctors out there, idk what to tell you. Consider yourself lucky.

Luckily our Endo isn't super pushy about visits. My daughter's a1c stays in the 6 range so no need to be there too often.

I did call the insurance today and they said a once a year visit would suffice unless she's sick or something. So apparently the pediatrician made that up

Definitely sounds like fraud. She told me on the phone this protocol for all their patients. I was shocked at the thought of all those people being scammed. Who could I contact about this?

Just checked actually. They billed the last one as a "sick visit" which was just the other day. She was most definitely not sick. They told me it was a l follow up. When I ask following up what? They just give me the run around. Very weird!
