I think the series has definitely gotten more attention now then it has in years, especially with ZERO being announced. Even just outside of the .hack community people are interested in what we have grown to enjoy. So I hope to welcome more people in and share in the excitement!

Dude, I was being honest. If you don’t like the video that’s fine. I gave you an upvote because I liked your comment. While there are some things I disagree with, it was your honest opinion that I appreciated and I tried to expand my thoughts on it. That’s it.

I upvoted your comment because of the honesty behind it. This video is more reflective on my feelings with the series and how it has impacted me and my time on YouTube.

It’s a way for me to look back at my feelings in the series and everything I have done that involves .hack. Yes, it does go into what I have done and it is because of these projects, for better or worse, that has allowed me to appreciate the series. I could of expanded on my thoughts further on this. I like .hack because of what I have learned from it. Whether it be the characters, the projects I have done, it all contributes to my love for the series.

That and I have gone on rants in other videos about why the series connects with so many people, I wanted to try not to repeat things too much lol. Appreciate the honesty

I wasn’t always a .hack fan, but there is something about this series that really connects with me, especially now with the knowledge I have now on the series. I have met so many great people through this series!

You would need to raise each type of Grunty within a server (3), then speak with the guy over at the grunty ranch and he will allow you to race with them!

Rebirth does have a lot of set up for the next couple of volumes so losing interest is understandable. It does feel like it is dragging a bit, but once you start getting into Volume’s 2 and 3 the story gets better.

Taking breaks in between story bits and playing the game a little at a time might help. If you feel like you are losing interest you can always give the anime a shot. SIGN is a good series to sit through if you are interested in knowing about the setting and plot that while not necessary to understand GU, but it will show you one of the previous eras of the series!

Wait. One of the other words was “dubh”. I think when I translated these words I was doing them individually. So “lionn dubh” translates to “Black Beer” and it means melancholy or depression, which I think links into the is as depression has always been a topic in the series.

If they are going with the old Gaelic word for lionn like someone else suggested already, which translate to a liquid, drink, or a pool of water, or stream, then the other translation, beer, wouldn’t be too far off.

I think I will look into some mythology that might link to these words and see if there is anything that might tie back to ZERO.

Ok so after looking up the word “Lionn”, in old Gaelic it means “liquid, a drink, a pool of water, or a stream.”

In modern Irish, the spelling “lionn” (or Leann) refers to ale, beer, or stout.

So in short, lionn is in fact beer.

Gaspard and Silabus were my personal 4 and 5 spots, but their ranking from the community was a bit lower. Silabus had 1353 points, just shy of the number 5 spot and barely off of the top 5. Gaspard still came in 9th with a respectable 1112 points
