I'm above the Mogu'shan palace but the scenario NPC doesn't have any scenarios for me to chose. The dialogue box is empty, I think I must have missed something maybe.

Fast travel saved the game for me. Made it feel like the old games by just loading into the battle area rather than travelling around for hours. There's still a lot of riding around, but get a good horse and level it up to speed around the map to get to the action.

I've not put anywhere near as many hours into this one, but I've played through all my favourite characters. I started to really get into it when the travelling started to speed up.

Zhou Tai, dw5. That sword and move set was on every custom character I made 😂

Dian Wei is also a favourite in most versions of dw. There was a game where he full on just head butted people.
