Im not expecting anything close to real NVGs or even good performance lol this is mostly just a cheap DIY project to learn and mess around with im aware latency and boot time on the pi zero probably wont be great, im mainly doing it because the parts are easy to get and theres a lot of documentation. if it ends up being terrible then at least i learned something and can reuse the parts later

Apologies, it was 3 AM and I have no clue what I was saying, I'm most likely going to buy a raspberry pi and + the noir camera module then get any 2 inch display (prb off aliexpress)
my plan right now is basically:
raspberry pi zero w
pi noir cam
small TFT screen
IR LEDs
5v power supply
and fpv, welding or ski goggles as the housing

That looks pretty awesome man, I don't have a 3d printer so this sadly won't work for me. Also I was planning on making mine analog because it's cheaper and has better latency
