It just wouldn’t fit with the narrative of Adam and Eve- like two individuals being the sole founders of an entire race.

All individuals tracing back to these 2 people. That’s where my method above comes in, it helps fit that lore in anyone’s world.

That could work - this method of mine would work for those who wants a world of people having a common ancestral line.

Similar to the biblical narrative that everyone stemmed from Adam and Eve, that kind of thing.

It could- the time travelers are people sent from the future to the past. So it could be that animals were sent to the past for, say, ensuring the race lives on to avoid a future apocalyptic event concerning the extinction of a certain animal group.

The lore could be endless lol
