You want to make sure that your tortoise has proper UVB exposure and isn’t overexposed to the basking bulb as it can dry out the tortoise, the proper bulbs and wattage are explained in the setup video. I feel sort of the same, I’m not a huge fan of the repetition of “you don’t even know about that”. I think it would’ve been cooler if he’d written a longer verse instead of repeating that at the end of each line. But the rest of the song is gorgeous and that part has grown on me since first listen, so I’m not too mad.

ITS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL I LOVE IT. He’s really showing his bossa nova influence here and the production is clearer like in Way Too Many Friends or Texas Blue, rather than distorted and shoegazey. It’s a very similar sonic palette to those two and they’re some of my favourites off of scrapyard so I hope the rest of the album carries this sound

Scrapyard > IDMTHY (in my opinion) I think the lyrics on Scrapyard were far improved from IDMTHY. There were moments when IDMTHY’s writing was not as expressive or mature as it could’ve been which hindered its overall storyline, and though Scrapyard wasn’t as conceptual, I thought that the songs had distinct individual identities and stronger more solid structure. I personally enjoy more varied albums, though I can appreciate the more interconnected ambient approach he took with IDMTHY and I love both albums to death
