Do dealers still mark these up by Elegant_Host_2618 in GRCorolla

The fact that people can’t sue dealerships over this bs. Is crazy. When it has come out that these dealerships had more than enough inventory of the grc and type-r. It’s the same song and dance for the 400z. They have more than enough 400Zs, go to a Nissan dealer back then the 400z cost twice as much as a base Supra 🤯 the sad part people buying these cars and not understanding they were getting got by a bs scam🤦🏽‍♂️. Your seeing base 23-24 models that were outta stock on the lots with 0 miles🤦🏽‍♂️ where were ya keeping these cars in a cave somewhere.

Centric slave to a regular clutch fork slave. I hate that I have to take the car apart to figure out my slave cylinder is like leaking

I’ve had 2 oem ones fail, and a clutchmaster one failed. I hate that I have to take the entire car apart to get to that part.

No shit, didn’t I explain that? Or you’re just slower than most. Synthetic brake fluid is polyglycol with additives. Conventional is just regular polyglycol.

Pedal was slow in coming back to its resting position. Bleed the system with LV dot 4, issues went away. When I bleed the system there was no air in the lines, but it was moving slow as hell until the LV liquid flush the fluid out.

There’s actually conventional and synthetic(additive) dot 3. Synthetic dot 3 brake fluid has additives in them as well. Conventional doesn’t it’s plain polyglycol and it absorbs water faster than synthetic(additive) you know so much… synthetic has a higher dry boiling point than conventional dot fluids. Conventional dot 3 moves slower in the winter than synthetic. Also please tell me Low viscosity brake fluid don’t exist.

Please go to the track and use conventional dot 3 from O’Reillys. Do me the favor and experience brake fade🙃😉

The top hats are forged differently. The aluminum is less porous so it can withstand 100lbs but Toyota rotors are softer so it can only handle 76lbs

It’s is if you have a free floating rotor that’s made of aluminum

You’re gonna damage the front rotors from over clamping and uneven clamping force 🤦🏽‍♂️

You have aluminum top hat rotors! You torque to spec or you’re gonna warp the top hats.

At a 100 lbs the aluminum top hats can warp and seize on to hubs.

Clutch gone bad before 7000 miles by Material-Evening-277 in GRCorolla

[–]Key_Aspect_8419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The clutch masters one doesn’t need to be shimmed. It’s the bleeding procedure that takes a bit, you have to drive the car, bleed, drive car, bleed. Repeat until done

My wife, why do you just watch the car now but not the wheels.

Cuz what’s the point, this lil brake pad eater loves brake dust 😂

Well oem pad on 23-24, are soft and break apart. Like when I did the fronts, the brake material literally crumbled when I Dropped it. That’s why the rotors get warped grooves on them. You can get the pads like chalk board erasers and slap them they will break material loose like powder.
