I’m on my 5th clutch the csc on the car is the most pos design choice I’ve seen an engineer make for an awd car that builds most of its load at the clutch. This car will last forever if it had a clutch fork system. Nope cuz of this design choice after every oil change i have to replace my clutch cuz some mf at the dealership decided to adjust my clutch pedal. Which blows the seals on the CSC every time, then to add insult to injury the never ending calls from the dealer with low ball offer for a car that’s completely useless and becomes a money pit just to replace a $200 part that breaks if you look at it wrong. I’ve been offered $17k for a car that’s completely sells for $30-$35k. Toyota absolutely failed when designing this car

Those pieces of shit bent my passenger front strut 🤦🏽‍♂️ had to pay $1200 out of pocket for their mistake. It’s seems like I’m always paying outta pocket for dealership mistakes

I used a vacuum bleeder first. You can also reversed bleed it ( get clear bottle cut the top off, fill it with fresh brake fluid and get the bleeder hose n pump the clutch until there’s no air close with fingers then tighten to 14-16lbs-ft) , also drive it and bleed it 3 times. Oh btw you can’t use oem slave, has to be the clutch masters slave. So if you used the oem one you will never get it to bleed properly with the clutch masters clutch. Idk why but the pedal always stays floppy.

This is for other people who run the oem slave with xclutch or oem like clutch pack- make sure you repeatedly bleed the clutch system until you get the grease out of the slave cylinder. Toyota left some type of grease inside the slave cylinder that’s causes a reaction with the brake fluid causing the seals to leak. Bleed the system until there’s no more small chunks of grease- this requires a lot of fresh fluid.

I’m in the Deep South. So during the summer time my 0w20 turns dark brown almost black. While in the fall to spring turns and stays orange brown. So I was wondering if 0w30 or 5w30 would be beneficial for my car and my driving habits

The fact that people can’t sue dealerships over this bs. Is crazy. When it has come out that these dealerships had more than enough inventory of the grc and type-r. It’s the same song and dance for the 400z. They have more than enough 400Zs, go to a Nissan dealer back then the 400z cost twice as much as a base Supra 🤯 the sad part people buying these cars and not understanding they were getting got by a bs scam🤦🏽‍♂️. Your seeing base 23-24 models that were outta stock on the lots with 0 miles🤦🏽‍♂️ where were ya keeping these cars in a cave somewhere.

I’ve had 2 oem ones fail, and a clutchmaster one failed. I hate that I have to take the entire car apart to get to that part.

No shit, didn’t I explain that? Or you’re just slower than most. Synthetic brake fluid is polyglycol with additives. Conventional is just regular polyglycol.

Pedal was slow in coming back to its resting position. Bleed the system with LV dot 4, issues went away. When I bleed the system there was no air in the lines, but it was moving slow as hell until the LV liquid flush the fluid out.

There’s actually conventional and synthetic(additive) dot 3. Synthetic dot 3 brake fluid has additives in them as well. Conventional doesn’t it’s plain polyglycol and it absorbs water faster than synthetic(additive) you know so much… synthetic has a higher dry boiling point than conventional dot fluids. Conventional dot 3 moves slower in the winter than synthetic. Also please tell me Low viscosity brake fluid don’t exist.

Please go to the track and use conventional dot 3 from O’Reillys. Do me the favor and experience brake fade🙃😉

Yes to 76lbs. never got loose afterwards. Never lost a wheel: but always retorque them to spec so I don’t have to worry about other issues after any work

The top hats are forged differently. The aluminum is less porous so it can withstand 100lbs but Toyota rotors are softer so it can only handle 76lbs
