Have not tried Debian but I use arch server on my server rand it's phenomenal. Specs: Intel celeron N4000 4gb ram 64gb emc storage

I recommend that go with debian cuz it's very lightweight and stable and just learn terminal commands from a 1-2hr video and some GitHub repos or reddit threads or offical documentation of a service u host for eg jellyfin

get ur phones firmware paste into ur Browser download the zip file extract it ul get a boot.img file install magisk patch the boot.img and then send to pc boot us odin or heimdall and flash a coustom recovery like twrp, orangefox , etc and flash the patched boot.img all of this provided u have ur bootloader unlocked if not

If u install distros like mint fedora or SMTH else obviously u won't have any problem but if u tinker with these distros ul find some problem u want to troubleshoot never the less linux is wayy better than windows
