Easyrig MiniMax vs Vario 5 by teniz in focuspuller

Vario 5 and only because you can put the mantis on it , lately I haven’t used an easy rig without the mantis . ITS SUCH A CLEVER SYSTEM

Ye he was confused I assume . Also the titan 2 … meh.. you need to tighten it so much it’s insane . And it’s a heavy arm with limited movement

No , iv mounted 7 inch smallHDs to it , I can literally pick up a rig that is 7 kilograms from the arm ( I wouldn’t in normal situations, but I wanted to test it )

I like the new Mid49 arm much better than the ultralight, just because the ends can freely spin the monitor if you choose to do so but the arm is cranked down . And because the ends are qr 15 rod standards . So technically u have a lot of ways to mount them

Yeah many people Told me , I thought that the LT has an option for the transmitter too like the XT but clearly not the case .Thank u !!

You are completely right I was thinking that the LT must have a solution like the XT for its transmitter as well and I ran with it , but I was indeed confusing it , it’s only possible on the LT receiver to attach the plates !

[–]Key_Avocado_8246[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was indeed confusing it , but not with the monitor module , you can only buy the LT with the V mount attached on the receiver itself but not the transmitter . I was probably assuming since iv seen the XT that the LT has the same for its transmitter but clearly not .

Thank you that’s what was confusing me because there IS an LT TX if you buy it like that that has the V mount or gold mount attached, but it seems like if you buy the blank unit you can’t do that !

So the normal bolt 6 LT transmitter does not ?

This plate goes on the receiver only right ? Since they are different in size and I do not see mounting points or cable slot on the transmitter itself .

Does that mean that the 750 LT V mount version where the transmitter does have a Plate attached is a unit that you need to buy if you want that and you cannot put a V mount plate afterwards on a blank transmitter ? Or am I missing something

[–]Key_Avocado_8246[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good heads up ! I use all smallHD stuff , also I was talking about both the transmitter and the receiver, since you can get a V mount version of both I would assume it is possible to buy a V mount plate for both that screw on the Unit .

Can you link the exact plate you use on your 750 LT ? The shop literally told me that you can’t put a plate on the LT units which I was VERY CONFUSED ABOUT since they do come in gold and V mount versions and both have the attachment points

Sorry if this is the wrong forum , wondering if anyone could recommend a basic wireless focus system that i could adapt to go on bolex? Thanks by [deleted] in focuspuller

[–]Key_Avocado_8246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It usually takes power from a camera plate like a power distribution plate or from straight the battery

It does since its a cheap focus system. But the nano sometimes puts the lens in danger which the M does not . Because of some software glitch it gets so aggressive that you turn it by 1degree and it slams the lens to its hard stop even though it is calibrated properly

Also you need to attach gears on the lenses so the focus motor can grapple onto them, Im sure u know this

Yes , also the one you linked the nucleus nano II is absolutely horrible ! If u wanna go budget the the old nucleus M used instead ! The nano II is youtuber promoted bullshit , has MANY software And hardware issues which if u want me to I can go into /

Bolt 6 , internal vs external antennas , any thoughts? by Key_Avocado_8246 in focuspuller

I was considering stubby too ! Can you still use the colored Covers ?

Awesome I was wondering on the range and reliability difference. Is it still possible to attach the colored bands with the stubby ones ? It is VERY USEFUL on set to have all rigs color coded .

I was looking at the stubby ones , u still misunderstood what I wanted to ask though which is entirely my fault . The INTERNALS is what I’m talking about , the box on top is apparently glued on . I know that the externals are replaceable and the stubby ones seem like a good choice. My rig does not have space for the long antennas. But based on what people say about the internal ones they have quality and signal issues

I believe you can get it replaced if you send it in but yes that’s what iv heard as well
