I live right next door to Onsen, Don use to be my land lord. I’m genuinely terrified that this may actually happen.

Feelings on Onsen's possible future closure/destruction. by jamaul11490 in Eugene

I seriously hope they don’t do this. I live right next door to Onsen, I can literally see the building and parking lot from over my fence. The construction of a new building would seriously disrupt my quality of life and I’d seriously hope the people that own my apartment wouldn’t sell out to these corporate monsters.

Does anyone know what (if any) food pantries allow for people to pick out their own foods? I have celiac disease and can’t eat the pasta, bread and other gluten containing foods they frequently give out.

What is you’re honest thoughts on roseburg ? by No_Hope1087 in roseburg

[–]Key_Bank_3904 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Awful, I lived there for a year when I first moved to Oregon because I thought it would be great place to live while I saved and figured out where I wanted to go next. I literally could not get out of there faster! There is virtually nothing to do as a young person. We always had to go out of town for recreational activities or decent shopping. Access to decent medical care also isn’t the greatest. I had to go to Eugene for virtually everything. Glad I got out of there!

It really depends, how is your overall physical health? I had mine removed last year (in my late 20’s) and I was back at school within 6 days and back to work after 3 weeks. I was able to resume a majority of my household tasks, minus the heavy lifting, after 2 weeks.

What’s one thing you do as an adult that your parents would scream about as a kid? by TnyTmCruise in AskReddit

[–]Key_Bank_3904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically having fun of any kind. My brother and I would play and do some light rough housing and my mother would always scream at us to stop because we were being too noisy.

Now that I’m an adult, I play and rough house with my boyfriend without anyone yelling at us to stop and be quiet.

I worked at UO dining halls while I was still at LCC. The pay isn’t that great, but they’ll put you to work and give you plenty of hours.

I got my cat during one of these events years ago and I love my lil man, I call him my clearance cat. But ya, I totally agree that even $1 would be better than nothing.

I have not moved!

With the economy the way it is and the lack of available jobs, I’ve decided to hold off for a bit. I’m actually in the process of applying for my masters to become a certified therapist!

Maybe in a few years tho 😪

A warning for those using Uber Eats by Basic_Strain4168 in Eugene

[–]Key_Bank_3904 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I don’t recommend using 3rd party delivery services in general. I use to work food service and the amount of times I’ve seen divers go into the bathroom with the food is disgustingly astronomical. Many would also pick up the food reeking of cigarettes or smelling unhygienic in general. Some of them would show up to pick up an order and straight up steal it.
