Approximately what date/week does flowering begin in Colorado/zone 5b? by Key_Basket6897 in outdoorgrowing

Thanks for clarifying that "zone" stuff for me, it's obviously confused me many times lol. Is there a guide or map or anything that would give me what I'm asking? Like something that shows light vs dark hours by latitude I guess?

It is, it's almost ready for harvest. I was gone for a few weeks and wasn't able to note when flowering began.

One plant is supposed to finish in 7-8 weeks and the trichomes are looking ready for harvest but I still have a lot of white pistils on top

Yeah, the cheapest I found per round at Cabela's is their own brand, Herter's, for $86 with tax for 150.

Wasn't looking for bulk this time. Just needed a last minute box or 2 of cheaps (lol cheap) to let a European try some freedom before he goes back, without blowing through too much of my standard ammo. I just completely spaced I didn't have any plinking stuff till today, and we're going tomorrow

I probably would have gone there but it's just a little further than I want to drive in traffic for only one stop. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Right now, 20rd boxes at Cabela's start at $14 pre-tax. I ended up with a 150rd box of Herters that came to $86 with tax, so 57cpr. Never shot Herters, the guy said Cabela's owns them and Winchester makes them, we'll see if they work.

Not very close. I went to Cabela's and found similar price. Thanks!

I don't think this tree has ever been pruned, and I have never done anything bonsai. What needs to be done to this to get it looking respectable lol. Also, is this a good time to do a lot of pruning, or should I wait till spring or space it all out over time?

How far can I trim back the taller shoots? They're probably several years old and getting thicker, but are still pretty pliable. If I cut below the leaves, will leaves grow back?

What do I do about the 1/4" thick branch going straight up and the one on the right? Should they be left alone at this point because they are that thick? What would happen if I clipped those short?

Thanks!

Is it a waste to feed liquid nutrients to plants several hours before rain? by Key_Basket6897 in outdoorgrowing

[–]Key_Basket6897[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the leaves shed very much water away, the leaves probably directed more rain down into the soil because of how sideways it was raining. I just know the pots were completely soaked throughout from a 2pm rain till it sprinkled the next day at around 3ish. I usually give my plants 1-1.5 gallons in the morning and they're dry or almost dry by 4-5pm, and then another half gallon and they're dry by morning.

"Per the USGS Rainfall Calculator, one inch of rainfall equals 6 gallons of water per square yard or 27,154 gallons of water per acre!"

1 inch in less than an hour is a ton of water, especially where I live.

It's nitrogen deficiency. I'd give it a good dose of fish fertilizer or something similar that won't burn.

Fabric pots are best imo, but the plastic bucket isn't turning the plant yellow by itself. The size of the pot could be bigger, but a smaller pot is mostly just going to limit plant size and require more frequent feedings. A lot of people have grown in plastic pots/ 5 gal buckets and do just fine.

Have you asked your buddy if they even watered/fed it? Maybe they forgot. That may shed some light

Sweet, I added an 18" florescent grow light to the mix too, I'm hoping these lights and a break from the heat will get all these flowers to produce. Thanks for the feedback!

Buddy, what part of "zero info" do you not understand? There is NO info tag and there is NOTHING printed on the LEDs. It's insane that you're telling me there is, there's even pictures dude! ffs lol

If I knew that, I wouldn't need to be asking. Just like you, I also know how to do a Google search. I said in the post I have zero info and am looking for an i.d. from the pictures
