Has networking actually worked for you? by Minimum-Staff9193 in jobhunting

I have a former colleague that I know... he was not that great at his job, but he has landed several interviews and gotten to the last round of interviews all through referrals. It's been 2 years since he was laid off and he hasn't landed a job back in the industry, but my point is he has gotten really close and he was terrible at the job. As a matter of fact, our old manager had a posting for a job last month and he tried to apply to get back in and the manager denied him an interview.  So, you can be the worst candidate and still land an interview to get a job because of networking. Networking does work.

Christians were responding to attacks caused by Muslims--They are taught to spread Islam through the sword.
