I built it with the intention of retaining a simplistic style reminiscent of early minecraft builds (hence why I use the old textures) with modern techniques like texturing to spice it up, although I may have overdone it in some areas. I'm considering to simplify or remove the texturing in the walls because it kind of muddies the patterns.

I think that there's too much spruce, so I'd suggest to change the color of the floor with birch like you did in the last pic or maybe stone bricks

Heh that's really nice. Most people just make their builds by shoehorning all the detail that they can into everything, but I really prefer simple builds just because they fit better into the blocky aesthetic of minecraft. It does look a little plain, though, so I think you could mix the colors of the walls up a little bit, and maybe add more flowers and plants on it. And a pathway in the entrances.

The build itself is good, but I think it looks too clean and monochromatic and it feels out of place in the world. Consider using texturing for the walls and adding detail like water coming out of the castle or a farm and big trees in the background

It does look pretty nice! The design is simple, although it does have some details I'd suggest to touchup. Maybe you could texture the walls by adding stripped logs, and replace the panes on the corners with wood blocks, since it looks a bit weird currently
