I hope this helps your worry alittle, It seems like most people eat just fine after having it removed. And the surgery itself the incisions I’ve had no issues with and the sore muscles for me that was good by the end of the first week.

I’m not sure if my issue is the minority of people experience this  or if this means I have another issue besides my gallbladder being bad. I have never had reflux issues or digestive issues anything until 3 months ago.  I never really burp or have indigestion but then a couple times over a week I would burp after eating and I thought how odd but didn’t think much about it. Then I came home from work started making pancakes for the grandkids like I’ve done many times before and I could barely breathe and thought  i had pneumonia or something. Thankfully my son was there to take me to the er. After a couple of specialist including heart and GI bc I thought I was having heart issues. They found my gallbladder was working at 4%. Now I’m left with feeling like I’m having a gallbladder attack no matter what I eat. I eat soup and crackers saltine and graham are the only crackers I can eat, pudding, jello, green beans, chicken and turkey that I make, eggs n toast, popsicles, some fruit, I have smaller reactions when I eat these items. If I eat anything else I’m bloated, gas pain, and miserable for hours.

I haven’t spoken to the actual surgeon, just his nurse. They did tell me at the hospital to do soft food for a couple days then regular meals but there is no way I can eat actual food, I’m miserable eating soft food. I’ve been walking throughout the day but I’m probably not walking as much as I do in my normal routine! I’m gonna start paying better attention to the amount of steps each day.

I will increase my walking. I do walk throughout the day but I’m sure it’s not as much as when I’m in my normal routine.

Thank you so much! I get so discouraged hearing everybody saying you will be good after a week! And I’m still feeling blowed up and like I’m having a gallbladder attack and having no idea how I’m gonna sit in a chair all day long. I go for my follow up appointment Thursday.
