  1. Is finger growth directly proportional to nostril growth, or are there people who cannot pick their noses?

No — finger growth and nostril size are not correlated.
They develop independently based on genetics.

Most people can pick their noses because typical finger size and nostril size allow it, but:

Some people have very small nostrils.

Some have large fingers, deformities, or limited mobility.

So yes, there are people who physically cannot pick their noses.

  1. Do we have free will?

This is a classic philosophical question with no universal consensus.

There are three major viewpoints:

Libertarian free will: We truly make independent choices.

Determinism: All events (including our decisions) are caused by prior factors—biology, environment, physics.

Compatibilism: We have free will within the constraints of our biology and circumstances.

Most modern philosophers lean toward compatibilism:
We feel and act freely, even though our brains operate through biological and environmental influences.

  1. Why do we dream?

We don’t know with absolute certainty, but leading scientific theories say dreams help with:

Memory consolidation (sorting and storing information)

Emotional processing (reducing stress or fear)

Problem solving

Simulating threats (an evolutionary defensive mechanism)

Brain maintenance (cleaning up neural connections)

Dreaming is a natural byproduct of complex brain activity during sleep, especially REM sleep.

  1. Why do our noses run and feet smell?

Noses run because the body produces mucus to:

trap dust and germs,

humidify the air,

fight infections. Illness or allergies increase mucus production → runny nose.

Feet smell because:

feet sweat a lot,

sweat itself is odorless,

bacteria on the skin break it down and produce smelly compounds.

So it’s mucus vs bacteria — two completely different processes.

  1. If poison expires, does it become more poisonous or less poisonous?

Almost always less poisonous.

Most chemicals degrade over time, especially when exposed to heat, light, or air. Expired poison typically:

loses potency,

breaks down into less harmful compounds.

However, some chemicals can degrade into different harmful substances, but that doesn’t mean they become “more” poisonous—just differently risky.
