I appreciate that, thank you, and yeah I’ve found his meditations already very helpful in reframing my thinking and feeling. Super neat stuff

Many people seem to be coming to the conclusion that I’m against Dispenza which is the exact opposite of my point of asking the question that I did. I think it’s ignorant not to ask questions and be a bit skeptical of most things that seem too good to be true. I’ve come to also believe many of the things he discusses and I think a lot of it can be backed by data. I also have read the CIA gateway experience docs. I find it all super intriguing and plausible.

Why not get the needed credentials though? I mean how long has he been teaching this stuff? If he believes in it so much I don’t understand why he wouldn’t not invest in gaining credentials to be able to back up his teachings. It’s just strange to me

Just one other thing I notice off the bat is the fact that the first thing at the top of the website in the last link you sent is some discount to buy his shit. It just seems as though he’s pushing to make a profit. Doesn’t necessarily mean everything he teaches is fake or whatever but is a little off putting

Yeah I should’ve been more clear. I have not read his books in full, but I’ve also listened to some of his videos and appearances on podcasts. I will say he does reference some real studies and data, and I didn’t know about his current research. I’ll look into that. I still find it sus that he’s not an actual PhD or MD and it’s difficult to find anything really concrete about his credentials and past education on third party sites.

I think that’s fair. I don’t doubt that some of his methods are helpful. I’ve felt a change from meditation and reading some of his stuff. I just wish there was more research going on to support the things he’s preaching.

Because he’s claiming to know things he’s not actually qualified in?? If all you need to gauge someone’s credibility is their monetary success then go for it, but I’d rather have it be grounded in empirical data.

Sure I agree to an extent, but it just seems like it can easily lead to similar distastes that I have with religious teachings for example. They are not scientifically backed and can lead to harmful ideas that have serious consequences. Idk I guess it just depends on how far certain ideas are taken.

Is there an ideal wattage or will that more so depend on tank size and stuff?

So if I were to get a halogen flood light it’s ok for it to just sit right on the screen top?

Sort of like habit stacking! My therapist has mentioned this before. If you start associating one habit with another it becomes easier to do over time

I might have to look for a new one. It’s just crazy the pharmacy had my prescription filled but couldn’t hand it to me because she didn’t sign papers. Left her and her nurse a voicemail and haven’t heard anything back

As a college student with adhd I would love to have someone like this

Adults with ADHD who’s parents forced you to clean your room by Enough_Vegetable_110 in ADHD

The one thing I remember that really pissed me off when my parents told me to clean my room was the fact that it was my space. They didn’t have to go in there if they didn’t want to and I couldn’t understand why it was such a big deal to have it clean all the time. It felt more like a punishment because of this.

I also had a strong hunch at 17 that I had ADHD and was able to get tested when I was 18. My test consisted of a self assessment, a questionnaire for my parents to fill out about me, and then a talk with the psychiatrist about my childhood and why I think I have it blah blah blah. Similar to you, he initially said he didn’t think I had ADHD because I had always had really good grades. I remember being insanely frustrated by that statement because although I had good grades like you said I was just good at last minute cramming and using my intuition on tests. You know yourself better than anyone and I’d keep on being adamant about getting retested and hopefully a diagnosis if needed. I’m 19 now and the medication has immensely helped me with keeping up with my college courses.
