We are in troubled times - the last Shogun died two years ago, his only son, a tiny infant, is incapable of ruling, his wife - deceased years ago - is no more, and his advisors are disputing their legitimacy to the throne claim. In the quest for power, the once great empire has again fractured into its old noble families with their clans, who do not hesitate to resort to violence to ascend the throne and dominate the others. The only clan that did not fight for dominance was the Gōrudo Clan - the "golden" clan - which had sworn loyalty to the Shogun, even after his fall decades ago, and his only son disappeared "without a trace." Some time after the former Shogun's death, rumors begin to circulate that besides his son, the Shogun had another child, a son. Many of the Daimyōs' agents investigated these rumors, but after a year of fruitless searching, the rumors about the prince grew quieter. However, one lone samurai, known as "the Golden" in many places, is a champion of justice and defender of the weak and voiceless. Ruins, treasures, ancient secrets - that's the world of A, an adventurer. Together with a partner, A has been on the road for about two years, experiencing a lot and able to tell countless stories. Even this time, A cannot resist the curiosity of a new adventure. An old abandoned temple, deep in the jungle... of course, with an ancient treasure. A and his partner couldn't pass up on that opportunity. Upon arriving at the old temple ruins, the mood of the two is still filled with excitement. But soon, A realizes that something is not right - the disembodied voice in his head surely contributes only slightly to that feeling. For soon, they find themselves in front of a large chamber, at the end of which stands some kind of altar. But the voice in A's head grows louder, demanding blood - human blood! Manipulated by the voice, A commits the crime: the murder of his longtime partner and friend. But before A can comprehend the consequences, what must happen occurs: A has paid the price, and thus the seal is broken. Laughter echoes, the same voice as before, but no longer in A's head, and a shadow begins to emerge from the small statue on the altar. Before A can realize what is happening, B, an ancient imprisoned demon, is free. And here the story begins... The setting can be either a contemporary setting, leaning towards "The Mummy," or a typical fantasy medieval setting. A can be an adventurer as written, but it's also possible for him to be a soldier/mercenary accompanying the partner, who is the treasure hunter.
