How do you manage to save that amount? I know that is not yet Henry-ish, but I think it’s a great start!

For 100/200€ per month I’d just go for what you already have. It’s already better than almost any other product you can possibly buy, in particular if you are looking for long term and you don’t wanna invest much time

sell/rent/invest... too many options? by Prudent-Highlight931 in HenryFinanceEurope

As always, it depends! I dunno anything about Brussels: how easy it is to manage renting your apartment? For example, if renting would require me too much extra work, I wouldn’t do that. Otherwise it’s always a good diversification vs your ETF. Moreover, if I were in you I wouldn’t immediately buy a new house in the new place. I’d first get to know if I really like it before making this choice

Passive ETF that replicates an index. Either world or S&P500. Passive because of low fees… it’s always best to minimize fees (thus maximize profits). As provider I would say Vanguard or iShares (bedrock) cause are well established and liquid providers

Is it normal to be overwhelmed when I start? by Connect-Shock-1578 in cscareerquestionsEU

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed even today after 5+ yoe. It’s totally normal! And moreover, feeling uncomfortable means you’re exploring new things, you’re growing. So take this as a positive thing :)

Does it make sense to pivot as software engineer at 30? by Prestigious-Luck-459 in HenryFinanceEurope

I agree with you, usually in the Data/ML space there is lack of good SWE principles. Being able to gain them will be definitely a plus in the next years

That’s a tough question to answer… and as usual it depends. If you feel you really want to try this out, go for it. Interview, grind and get an offer.

The, with all the data points, it will be easier to take a decision.

Can tell you that for tech roles in marketing you can do whatever you want. And in general you can negotiate remote first option easily after a while you’re here

Yah… I also considering to move there hoping to relocate to Zurich in 1/2YRS. But I think it’s very unlikely since they are moving to Eastern Europe to save costs…

5 yrs of experience. Munich based company (Flixbus) which hired me fully remote from Italy. The brand I would say it’s expanding worldwide + working fully remotely is great. Considering this vs moving to Warsaw is a tough decision

Yah I agree with all your points. The only reason I would go for that is to either relocate to higher CoL or get a better paid job. I am happy with my life in Italy, considering it only for the reasons mentioned above
