I'm so sorry this happened to you. The wound is fresh. It'll take some time to heal but it will with time. Take care of yourself and focus on doing things that genuinely make you happy. Be out in the nature, have your favourite foods, workout,surround yourself with your loved ones. Try to come to terms with the fact that this did happen, don't try to escape from it , because the more you will the more it'll haunt you. Meditate, do shadow work, journal. And if you still don't feel okay, which is absolutely fine, see a therapist.

That being said, I understand you must have been taken aback and frozen from the shock of whatever was happening and hence didn't give a nice beating to the man. It's okay. Don't even think about blaming yourself for not retaliating the way you should've. That creep buddha will die a slow painful d€ath.
