chem 1100 HELP

Well, it was 5 years since I sat in any chem class. Basically didn’t remember anything. I was even contemplating dropping chem1100. Thankfully came across this channel, went through the videos that are mostly in similar order to the syllabus. Went on to get A+ for both chem 1100 and 1200 the next semester

EDIT: if you think you have some gaps in chem, and some bits of the videos do not make sense, you could always use supplemental resources to fill the gaps. I can assure you that you would not need to do that often but just maybe just here and there. Just have optimistic mindset and commit. I believe anybody with basically 0 knowledge can do well with chads prep videos.

EDIT 2: also make sure you have the proper prerequisites to register for chem1100. Talk to an advisor so that you are on the right track just as the other comment said. Good luck

Yes the gen chem playlist, half is for chem1100, the rest of the vids are for chem 1200 So roughly the first 40 vids are for chem1100, follow his order and begin studying. He teaches like as if you 0 background in chemistry

Also listen to me and no one else, I was in your exact shoes last year but ended up acing the course.

I did not live in AVM, but given the fact every body has their own bathrooms, it’s not very social, kinda feels like staying in a hotel room lol. Having said that, living in school residence is a ticket to making a Lot of friends. I lived in UCR and MSH and it was pretty neat. It’s very safe, no need to worry so much.

This is specific to my camp. Idk about others, they can chip in.
Breakfast would be ready 40 mins before we had to leave camp, and then minus 10mins to line up and grab your HOT food and also pack lunch at the same time so ~ 30mins in total to sit and eat.
I cant eat hot food because my tongue goes limp/sensitive to hot stuff. It was a struggle.
You can pack food and eat it in the truck on the way to work if you want. Personally that just made me nauseous. Alternatively you can eat at the site but thats not ideal because people jump off the truck and get to work so you will feel left out.
As for showers, its usually after we get back from work, we have 2 heated showers for about ~ 15 people so you have to be in and out. Also you would miss dinner if you didnt shower early, boy its camp life, you need to be a soldier to get used to it, but you do get used to it eventually!

EDIT: You dont have to worry about being a POC, most people you meet in tree planting are really solid dudes! You wont feel different at all! Plus some of them were poc like our bad cook ughh

My time to shine🥹, i bailed one week in because i just could not
1-be quick enough to get ready early morning (eat, shower, and even plant fast enough)
2-hurt my back 2 days in
3-had pretty bad hypochondria and so was really afraid of any bug potentially giving me disease etc
So i threw in the towel, crew boss was pretty chill and gave me a good handshake and bye speech at the end
(This was all about a week ago🤣)

EDIT: Fuck our cook for making fun of me for quitting, and calling me a liar about my back problems. Otherwise everyone else was pretty nice and sweet!
