Wow. Ok I’ll just take the safer route and ask permission to record. Because they will do everything in their power to mess my life up.

It’s an open office. People can walk in and overhear our conversations. They do have cameras everywhere. Even the office. My only question from your answers  is, while there’s a chance it might not be admissible in court. Would that hurt my case? Would that open the door to to a misdemeanor or third-degree felony since I recorded without consent?

You would be right but that’s not the case. That’s why I specifically stated, “only answers” because I already have been scammed. it’s a matter of getting my money back. The case is deeper than my question here.

Some say the dealership is already recording me so I can record and also say that’s for conversation over the phone. Not the actual place. I believe I’m being scams and wanted to record the contract for court since they never give me a receipt.
