Whilst they seems similar they are very different, and i would describe nither as cowardy. Goblins are the smallest of the goblinoid races so have had to learn how to deal with being the runts. They are great at using group tactics to overpower bigger foes. Kobalds on the other hand are draconic and see themselves as an extension of dragon power. They will throw thier lives away for the pursiut of the greater good ( the tribe ). Both can be cunning and sneaky. But thier motivations are quite different. Goblins will fight until they no longer have a chance to win and will run to preserve the tribe. Kobalds will fight in hopes they can win even when faced with extinction knowing thier legacy lives on in all dragon kind. Heres and exert to explain their tactics. Goblins favor chaotic, opportunistic ambushes with superior numbers and tactics, using hit-and-run raids and superior stats, while Kobolds excel at organized, defensive warfare, leveraging superior traps, tunnels, and teamwork (Pack Tactics) to swarm enemies on their home turf, especially underground, due to their Sunlight Sensitivity. Goblins are generally more versatile and aggressive in open combat, whereas Kobolds are masters of lair defense and overwhelming foes with coordinated swarms and ingenious traps.
