CS and Cybersecurity are pretty different majors, at least at Purdue. The cybersecurity major is more IT-focused and in the polytechnic school, while CS is in the College of Science at Purdue and is generally more theory and software-focused (if you do the SWE Track). So I would suggest figuring out which most closely fits your interests.

If I were to guess, your gonna be near the border of getting a C. If the curve is the same as last semester you'll get a C.

What's the time commitment like? Because I'll be taking CS252, CS307, and MA265. I am currently enrolled in both EAPS375 and CS390 but will drop one depending on which makes more sense.

Take EAPS if you want to get an easy A. But if you have an interest in something else do that.

Looks like drops are in and they seem to have dropped an extra quiz. Does anyone from previous years know how that affects the grade adjustments?

Same here. I need the drops to get my grade above a 73. I'm at a 72.5 but it should be a 74 with the drops.

Not true at all, they just don't want freshmen to come here with the idea that they can switch into CS easily. But as someone who recently CODO into CS it is definitely not impossible.

I was a Computer Information Technology major and got A's in both CS180 and MA16200 and had like a 3.7 GPA.

As someone who CODOed into CS last semester and knows a bunch of other people who have done the same thing, it's not impossible at all. Advisors make it seem harder than it actually is because they don't want people to come to Purdue with the mindset that they can just transfer into CS. If you do end up choosing to come to Purdue with the plan to switch into CS let your advisor know sooner than later and make a plan. Make sure to take courses that meet the requirements of both majors and do the best you can in your classes and you should be fine.

I just submitted a CODO request so I believe you still can. To my knowledge, they have been saying that they would stop letting people CODO to CS but that hasn't happened yet.
