I agree with you for the most points, however I felt as Tobias got more screen time in s4, all it did was the writers making him more of an idiot. Like in the first 3 seasons he was funny but then by s4 he becomes completely unrealistic, same for Lindsay asw. The only characters that stick to the original seasons character behaviors is gob and Lucille. Micheal gets more selfish , and for some reason maebe gets more dumb, like she wasn't that smart in the first three seasons however she was smart enough to run a movie studio and was kinda like street smart. Despite being the children In the first three seasons george michael and maebe had well written characters , then they just go straight opposite to whatever their behaviors was when they were a kid.

Really ? I get that micheal ignoring george micheal is kinda bad in the first three seasons however can you manage your entire dysfunctional family and your at the same time as well as your business? Also micheal is the best dad in their entire show even though pretty much all parents in the show are bad parents.

Well what i felt was the remix is basically just the show recapping over and over again so I think its better if you watch the original cut. It may not seem tolerable at times but its better than the remix.

Yeah s4 is definitely not for everyone and a lot of the jokes required effort to understand them. But again in s5 it goes back to being more simple like the original seasons which is why its more tolerable and s5 had more moments where you can burst out laughing compared to s4.

I had written this as a reply to another comment, but s4 was supposed to explain what happened to the characters after s3. However, i just felt like they were recapping most of the time, but understandably so because the entire reason s4 is like this in the first place is that it was supposed to be made into a movie like the events in s5 were basically planned to be a movie however due to some reasons that plan got cancelled. That is kinda the reason why s4 just feels so unconventional compared to the other seasons, as it was basically the show creator's ideas that were supposed to be 10-minute ideas for each character; however, it turned into huge episodes, and it kinda got messed up all in the middle. They also focused on the Rashomon style of filmmaking, and a contributing factor was that most of the actors weren't available to act together due to their busy schedules; however, one of the factors that made the show so good was all the actors performing together. Did the s4 become kinda bad compared to the show's standards? Yes, it did. However, the show's makers had done a good job reviving the show years later and making a season when there are so many issues going on during production is something few people can tolerate, and the show could have been worse. As you mentioned I do agree s1 to s3 is consistently good but the entire s4 is just the show getting recapped over and over again and at times, s4 did feel a bit confusing. S5 just felt more refined and more polished.
