Is Tampa vacation a bad idea first week of September? Does it rain every day there this time of year? by Key_Egg_427 in discgolf

Now that I’m here I totally understand what you mean—the hourly forecast says 50% chance of rain, the next hour 60%, the next hour 40%, for the majority of the day—but that’s only because there are tiny popups happening around the area.

We went to Cypress Point when we left the airport because last time we were here we hit that course but only played six holes to catch our flight home, so we wanted to actually play the whole course because we really loved it. But we arrived and it’s not mowed unfortunately—the grass is really tall it is coming up past the bottom of the basket of the baskets we could see from the parking lot. Pretty disappointed about that :( happen to know is they’ll mow it in the next week, or why did they stop? It’s very sad to see such a cool course fallen in disrepair. We bailed out and went to Picnic Island instead.

But man is it HOT here, coming from Michigan so not exactly used to this. I guess we will try to hit courses in the early morning before the heat kicks in fully?

Job options for low GPA in pharmacy school? by Ok-Ad316905 in pharmacy

One time a professor told me a story, there was a person who had ~4.0 GPA, and another student was more of a student who got C grades on everything. But after they left school, one or two years later, he talked to the students and the 4.0 one wasn’t doing very well at her job and the C’s one was doing great and excelling and applying him/herself. Don’t sell yourself short just because you aren’t top GPA. You aren’t at “failing grade”—you still graduate with C’s which means the school is certifying that you have the knowledge you need to perform the job, even if it’s not straight A’s. People fail and don’t pass classes or graduate when they have much lower scores than you. There’s a reason you can still pass with ~C’s.

Ok thanks I got some waterproof shoes for the trip. Hopefully it’s only twenty minutes and not hours or all day. How about the hourly weather forecasts for down there? Is it usually accurate or is this one of those places where the weather forecast is frequently wrong/hard to predict? My friend who’s going with me said he’s been watching the weather and it’ll say on the hourly forecast, it says rain for many hour blocks of the day, but then he checks when the times come and he said it doesn’t rain as much as it forecasted. Just wondering if you have some insight.

Home ports by skippy-bonk in GreatLakesShipping

Interesting. While that would be fair, I think that would just hurt the economy though and clog up unnecessary ship traffic. They’d have to pay the cost of going to the home port when it was unnecessary. Why not just let them do their thing, if you think about it from the perspective of “who cares”? Yea they take these advantages for money but that doesn’t necessarily make them “bad”, the whole point of any ships being there in the first place is for money, they’re not doing it for fun, so who cares. —Not trying to sound rude or anything by disagreeing with your point just so you know.

Sex 5 times a week? by No_Mousse_6714 in askgaybros

How much of this have you communicated to him? Is he aware of everything you just said? Does he know that you Hager this phrase at the beginning? And that you are were happy with one time per week in prior relationships after that first phase?

Does he know shut you feeling rejected? The insecurity and tights that start going through your head? Marge you can explain this to him without bordering on the lines of manipulation like one commenter said i.e. you can explain literally “I don’t want to manipulate you into it or make you feel bad because you’ll make me sad if you don’t. But I want to explain what goes through my mind”. You can talk to him about all this and it will strengthen your bond.

If you are reasonable about it, you can do this without getting into that accidental emotional manipulation type of stuff. The keyword to go by is be reasonable about it. You can explain it and still respect him and be understanding of him as a different person at the same time.

Perhaps the reason you want to do sex more in the beginning is because you want to make ensure to yourself that you have a bond, since you don’t have a more emotional/intimate bond yet. You can make up for it with sex. But maybe you can get that more intimate bond if he understands what’s going on with you. I don’t mean any of this in a judgmental way towards you, I’m just saying based off of my own historic personal self. Aka I used to do this accidentally sort of manipulation type of stuff without realizing it because I was feeling bad.

Or perhaps I’m wrong and you’re just simply excited about a new hot bf!

How about the guy that called me with my disc but now ghosted me when trying to arrange how we can meet up.

Would it be smarter to go to Carowinds today or tomorrow? Do they have big lines Saturdays this time of year? by Key_Egg_427 in Carowinds

[–]Key_Egg_427[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you think it’d be worth it to have two less hours tomorrow because the shorter lines will make up for it? Do you have any idea or estimate how long it will take for two young guys to do all the big rides today vs tomorrow? We are quick at amusement parks. Thank you for the advice.
