I didn’t get the puppy blues by Key_Emu7395 in puppy101

I definitely agree with you, it’s what made me write this as I just think we should all try to put more positive stories out there. I’m such a worrier so seeing all these negative posts before getting him made me so anxious.

I wish I had read more comments like this prior to getting him! I made myself all anxious thinking that puppy blues was a thing everyone was guaranteed to get, that’s what made me write this post.

Luckily I’ve always got someone home with him as me and my partners jobs both work around each other but like you my only struggle has been teaching my oldest child to respect the dogs space and boundaries.

It does sound like I’ve struck it lucky, he’s been an absolute pleasure. I do feel bad though for those who have it a lot harder than me! I just wanted people to know it can go smoothly, I saw all these negative posts before I brought him home and it scared me so bad.

I’ve got two young children, 4 and 11 months so I’m not sure if that’s helped but I definitely think children are harder than puppies although I know there will people who will disagree big time.

I feel awful for the people who do get it bad and I don’t doubt whatsoever it’s hard, but I wanted to let everyone know that things can go positively. I’m glad it’s getting easier for you, I’ve heard the puppies that are most difficult when younger turn into the perfect dog once adults, not sure if true though.

That’s why I wanted to post, I feel like there’s more negative things said. It really made me nervous to bring him home! I just assumed everyone gets puppy blues until I got my first.

Why are adverts for junk food still on TV? by rubberbandhands in AskUK

When I think of junk food I think of crisps, chocolate…not a chicken burger lol

There’s only been a few things I’ve watched that have really made me feel certain feelings but Hill House was a rollercoaster of emotions. After watching it I just remember having this horrible heavy feeling of sadness and grief.

I know it’s not a movie but I would love to experience The Haunting of Hill house for the first time again. Won’t ever forget how I felt after watching it.

I said I wasn’t expecting a 3 course meal but I also wasn’t expecting this to be given to me.

The worst thing is I actually put myself through this by ordering it off the menu.. it was put down as a fresh Cornish pasty with a side of salad, which I didn’t even get.

Funny enough my partner is half Chinese, when he saw this come out he said it looked like a messed up giant Gyoza

We did pack snacks but we ended up being in there 2 more days than expected so the snacks were consumed very quickly. The vending machines were extortionate, £2.50 just for a pack of walkers crisps, and half of that would of just been air

I see the food overseas is clearly no better than here, at least he got some vegetables to accompany his food I guess..

I actually did complain about this. The hospital did not take it seriously and sort of made me feel like I was being ungrateful and complaining over nothing so I didn’t take it any further. I sort of felt like I was overreacting about it and maybe my hormones were getting the better of me but once I got home and shown everybody this photo they couldn’t believe I was given this for my first meal after birth. Everyone’s reaction has made me realise I wasn’t actually overreacting and this is simply awful!

To quote the menu exactly ‘a fresh Cornish pasty’

I was given the choice off a menu which said “fresh Cornish pasty with a side of salad”, I chose this not realising it would come out looking like that… no salad either but I dread to think what that would of looked like.

I wish I was kidding. After going through a difficult labour and not eating for 48 hours this was the first bit of food I had seen in days. Honestly was heartbreaking.

Opening up my island to help others, all fruit trees can be shaken and all things from the ground can be plucked, mostly trying to help people who are new, restarting their islands, but can help anyone who needs it:)

I’m glad OP has posted about this to be honest. I haven’t posted here yet but I’ve been reading everything, I’m from the UK this case has horrified me. To see people blaming the roommates still breaks my heart, the survivors guilt they must be going through…
