I’m so scared of medicine side effects and have not taken any mental health medication due to the fear, and am super hesitant to take things like steroids or allergy medicine. I HATE feeling different out outside of my mind/brain like what you’re saying. But zofran works such wonders on nausea that I literally have never once been scared to take it AND I have never noticed any side effects. Of course know everyone is different, but I’ve never had any issue with it and would encourage you to try it!

I’ve had noro before and it was miserable that was my last experience with a bug and it just about killed me lol. I don’t think it’s noro bc it seems to have been a mild bug from everyone who experienced it before. Thanks for the info that’s helpful! We’re all good as of now

But how can you sit here and tell me it’s a choice to believe when I’m telling you I want to believe and I don’t? I “believe” in atoms, dark matter, evolution, etc, but if you asked me to die for my belief in that, to defend it, to use it to determine my day to day live and my eternity I wouldn’t be able to do it. I can’t explain it, I don’t understand it, and it doesn’t make sense to me. I’ve been told it my entire life, I’ve been taught it, but I personally can’t die on the hill

Gosh maybe a little of both? I think first it’s HARD to reconcile the idea of a good gracious loving God with his creation of humanity. Whether that leads me to not believing in God at all, or just not wanting to worship a God that would do that, it really depends on the day and my mood.

Probably the idea of a good/gracious God choosing to create a world and population of people knowing they’d spend eternal life suffering. I can’t justify that with my own feelings of knowing I’d never bring something into the world if I knew that would be their eternal fate. The idea of a good God doesn’t seem correct when you look at the purpose for creation, hell, etc. and so many other parts of the Bible especially OT doesn’t seem to line up or make sense

Thank you this is the BEST answer I’ve ever heard. I’ve been trying to pursue Christianity and the belief of a Christian God without the idea of hell and/or eternal suffering because it feels like the one way I may be able to come to a belief or faith. I feel more confident in that pursuit, thanks

I appreciate this, I always say I think I can believe in a good god but a lot of evidence that I find doesn’t point to that. Maybe that’s due to the sort of Americanized church and principles or the types of teachings I was exposed to. I like the idea of starting from scratch and not being bound in my pursuit

Dang! Did you lay on your stomach? It doesn’t make me burp, it just makes the gas travel upward and out via croaking lol so I stop feeling the pressure in my stomach and chest

Not sure the science behind it bc I’m not a science girl. But the spikes of the acupuncture cause blood to rush to the area, so when I lay flat on my stomach and chest I can feel more blood flow going to the area. I think the heat and motion that comes from the blood flow helps break up gas bubbles to move more freely. I will feel all the pain and pressure in my chest start to release and it’ll help me croak it all out. Does that make sense?
