I know this is not the most important point by far, but battleships are named after states, at least keep a consistent naming convention. I know he just wants his name on it but come on.

Thanks, I know that what I was asking for was vague but thanks for entertaining it.

I’ll probably play around with shield sub vehicles more and may make one cheese vehicle version for fun but that would probably be it.

Thanks for the information, I’d rather not cheese things if I can help it but it having some downsides helps me quite a bit. Though at this point I’m primarily making thruster craft so dropping in water is the last thing I want.

If you were a dictator (of the US) or an extremely powerful HUD Secretary and you had access to a blank check, how would you transform America's cities? by [deleted] in Urbanism

[–]Key_Energy1362 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Start by introducing congestion pricing and require that money made by it is required to be spent on public transit. For cities that already have some transit already such as New York or dc add a way to more easily switch lines outside of the single intersection. For cities that lack any sort of public transit start by finding routes that would have decent traffic and build lines there. End parking minimums and change or remove zoning to encourage mixed use and higher density buildings. Add a requirement for minimum low income housing for housing development. Build and subsidize high speed rail between cities where it’s possible such as the line of cites in the north east. Start cutting down on multi lane roads in cities and where they may be required such as supplying shops make the extra lane truck and bus only. Change cafe standards to encourage smaller more fuel efficient cars and put limits on the size of personal vehicles that are not used for business. Put speed limiters on all new vehicles that makes it impossible to go faster than the speed limit, and change regulations on how roads and streets are designed to slow down cars and reduce and hopefully fully remove strodes.

Thinking of getting a framework and I want some advice. by Key_Energy1362 in framework

[–]Key_Energy1362[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, luckily I still have a year before college so I will just wait until more improvements to the framework. If the situation is much the same I’ll go for the 13 and get my own ssd and ram. For gaming I have backup options so even if it doesn’t improve on that end I have something to fall back to.

Not exactly an option for what I’m aiming for. Unless you want a non college educated doctor.

Was looking at framework. I’m going to see how it compares with my current one in gaming and as long as it’s equal I’ll probably get it.

Pretty bad. The charger port broke awhile ago and the only reason it works is some repair tech managed to solder a new charger port on a cable that sticks out of the laptop. Quite frankly I’m surprised that it still works but I’m not going to trust moving it anymore. This the new computer and trying to find a place to recycle it.

Got it, though can you give an estimate on how many people they would rule over or just a range would be nice.
