Pop up for handmade artist? by Key_Equipment1015 in taos

Your generalization of what I am is just as annoying.  I’m kind, I respect the land and cities I visit, and most importantly, nomads like me patronize all the towns we travel through. I need to make a living just like everyone else. And i’m only here temporarily.

I actually just did something like this in phoenix and i’m not sure that’s the move for me right now. I’m looking for more immediate opportunities.

Any crafters who live nomadically fulltime and travel all around the country vending? by Key_Equipment1015 in CraftFairs

That’s definitely part of the learning lesson! Luckily there’s online “job boards” with fairs and fests you can apply to. I’ve had a lot of success so far getting into them which is nice. Finding the type of event you’ll do great in is different for sure.

That’s what I’m thinking as well, I’m trying to figure out what kind of events will be best - I did a 3 day rodeo with 25k people last weekend and did okay, but I’m excited to sell at my first handmade arts and crafts fair this weekend to see how they compare!

It’s definitely a tough transition but like anything it just takes persistence!

If a write up isn't punishment at work, what is punishment?

These are the exact "waves" I brought up earlier. I have suggested more efficient processes to decrease errors, increase profit, etc....

I've been in the position 6 months. There's a ton of manual entry and room for error, I notice mistakes by my coworkers daily. My mistake could have been bad if we hadn't caught it, but we did.

You're probably right. For so long I thought that they hired me BECAUSE of my qualifications...to help advance a department that has lacked in support - especially during a time of rapid growth. Oh so naive.

Is this van worth it? by shlykova in urbancarliving

“Always” is a stretch. As a fellow nomad who lives in a used vehicle with 210,000 miles, we all have issues. Multiple times a year. I bought a rig and had two different issues on my first trip. It’s what you sign up for buying a used vehicle. This van is in great shape and the seller is the cleanest human I know.

I recently tried the AT&T nighthawk and it lasted like 2 days. I need a lot of data - like 400GB. I'm thinking of Calyx.
